I Use to be able to use the Online customer registration portal, set IP address, MAC, and reverse DNS hostname as far back as the late 90s
Today:
Sign up rep said on the online customer center - no luck
called into Telus "business support" somewhere overseas, spent 3 hours , said he cant see the MAC address of the device connected to the Modem (ONT)
I gave him the reverse DNS/PTR of the domain name/FQDM he says its too long. It was just computerxxxx.dept.domain.com
Too be honest it seems to be a fulltime job to get Telus Business internet and it working.
