They look like crazy fun, and probably twice as dangerous.

Pretty soon someone gonna get hurt. Those idiots do not follow any of the rules on the road. Almost hit someone in the back alley came out of adjacent street not stopping or looking at traffic.
Sounds like most of the drivers already on the road. I'd much rather a scooter hitting my car than a brodozer.

I was around 17th ave area last night and I don't think a single sober person was riding one of these haha. Better than them driving though.

I was in Europe last couple week, those e-scooter (Lime) were everywhere, and they are fast! Just like scooter in Taiwan!

I was so tempted to try one, but lazy to, and noticed they are in Calgary too! Buy at $20 an hour, and can only ride on sidewalk, I wonder who will do that in Canada...

Went for a late lunch today and could not find any even though the app showed a few fully charged ones around me. Could it be because GPS signals aren't reliable downtown with all of the buildings reflecting everything? Hopefully they can fix this "ghost scooter" problem somehow.

Anyways, ended up having to walk 6 blocks to grab a thi thi sub instead of scooting over like i wanted. First world problems

I stopped using Car2Go a while ago due to too many ghost cars downtown. I just couldn't rely on it and ended up wasting so much time walking around like an idiot searching for them. I was told it has improved though. It doesn't surprise me that the scooters might have the same issue - even my car GPS messes up when I am driving between tall buildings sometimes, and when I was in Japan with huge buildings absolutely everywhere, it was very difficult to get a reliable GPS signal.

Right now I think a lot of people are using them for the novelty factor or to try them out, so it'll be interesting to see if they stay popular. They do seem overpriced though when you can take a $35,000 Mercedes for another $0.10/min, and if it's a short trip I'd probably just walk.

Humans are inherently lazy and if they could walk for 20 minutes or use a scooter for 10.. the scooter will win.

I think people look ridiculous on these things as they are already like 3-4 inches off the ground and then people are on top of them.

If it's a 20 minute walk that is probably a 5 minute drive, tops, in which case I'd rather be in a Benz than on a scooter haha. Whatever is closer I guess.

we should take half of the width of the remaining driving lane and divide it up into a scooter lane.

No really good way to share reddit videos. This is on topic.

Saw that a lot in Paris. Couple guys would hop on one and ride to another so they both got one.

I'm in San Diego right now and they're fucking everywhere. They even have designated parking spots haha

Saw some fat lady try riding one uphill. It was moving about as fast as you'd expect
