I can never fucking find the things downtown. They are either off in some obscure side street in Ramsey, dead, or a hipster is whipping in and out of traffic on them. I've purposefully booked meetings across downtown a few times to enjoy these zippy little buggers and have had to walk both times. To top it off it seems like the lime bikes have drastically reduced in numbers too. It was never a problem finding them before but now I may see one within a 4 block radius of my office.

I have walked by a ton of these now and I always look because I'm curious, the most charge I have seen in one is 13%. I don't think the battery swappers are very vigilant.

The other trend I have noticed is extremely obese people gravitating to them - the scooters struggle under the load but targeting the extremely lazy is actually a brilliant business plan, especially in this heat.

I got the app on my phone to try one if I ever find one that isn't dead.

they don't swap the batteries, from what i understand the "juicers" (as they are called) pick them up in their trucks in the evening, charge them overnight, then drop them back off in the morning.

Oh really they charge them on site? Wow. That seems wildly inefficient haha - probably why they are always dead when I see them. Thanks I didn't know that.

Umm, you could be a juicer if you wanted to be.

From what I gather, anyone can sign up to be a "juicer" and it pays under $5 per scooter. So it's not surprising that they're frequently dead.

In case anyone want the full juicer details:
    https://www.ridester.com/lime-charger/

After fuel, electricity, vehicle wear & tear, chargers, and enough room and outlets to do it, no it doesn't seem very appealing.

After ~100 yards you'll have to find something else to do by the sounds of it I guess you'll still have human power.

It’ll be funny to see a mob of us riding on sidewalks in DT terrorizing pedestrians. LOL

Seeing soooooooo many people doubling on these.. can only imagine what that does for battery life. Also.. when doubling... who controls the brake and who controls the gas Stupid people.
