There's a guy on the nose creek path every morning riding one of those..This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I saw a couple of the e-scooters along the River Walk today. It'll be interesting to see how popular these get. I'm already surprised with how popular the bikes are.
The prices are crazy and would keep me away. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The e-scooters have basically replaced all the bikes here in Charlotte. It is rare to see any of those Lime bikes anymore. That said, people are getting pissed about it because the average scooter rider acts like a dick and has no respect for auto or pedestrian traffic. Cops have started to crack down on people an ticket them.

Lime scooters have hit the streets. I'll probably try one this week.
Re: lime
what kind of shit website can't even tell me what the $/min rate is
I would assume the Lime ones have to be allowed since they're part of the CoC pilot program. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

$1 to unlock + $.30/minute for here
Saw a couple of these ripping around today. I went out at lunch for a walk and figured I would give them a try if I came across one but they seem to be pretty sparse right now. Either that or everyone else had the same idea that I did.

^ sweet and no helmet requirements! thanks for posting that, good to know the official rules.
Was hoping to cruise around prince's island at lunch today but couldn't find a free one either. I'm sure the hype will die down in a few days and should be easier to find them.
I am wondering how long before these Lime bikes get stripped for parts. If they are sitting over night outside, what stops folks from stealing parts.

These were everywhere in Spain and Italy. More so than bicycles I feel for sure. Not sure if they can be mainstream in NA just because of how far everything is but I can definitely see them becoming more common than they are right now.
You should maybe ask the 100 other cities with them? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The fact that it's criminal activity and tracked by GPS, and pretty much the entire city is under some sort of surveillance? What stops someone from grabbing a Mercedes car2go and taking it into their garage to steal parts? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I would imagine that there is a proprietary bolt head or screw head required to remove. And really, are any of the parts on there something you would really want to take to put on your own bike? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
