BTW: White people seem to be ok with fat based mold smells (cheese) Asian people seem to be more ok with wood based mold smells (mushrooms) White people seem to be ok with rotting pig carcasses (Proscuitto) Asians seem to be ok with rotting seafood/fish carcasses.

Not to sound racist, but I have little data on what Black people find offensive (as they tend to not complain as much) but people from India absolutely hate rotting teeth smell and vinegar.

As an Asian male: The current smell of the C-train in Calgary is definitely offensive.

Again: Black blue dress or white gold, Yanni or Laurel, Lobster cruel and unusual punishment to force people to eat, Smelly cheese or Smelly mushroom.

The rest of your post aside... Have you ridden on the old trains with no AC and just windows in the summer? Its like 32 degrees on them.
It's actually quite a bit worse than that - I used to bring a small thermometer with me out of curiosity when my train was regularly delayed due to people fainting, and having to wait for them to be removed from the train. It's more like 40-42C on a hot day and little to no ventilation. When Calgary hit 38C last year during the fire season, without a doubt they would have been even worse without AC.

On topic - I physically wash my legs/feet with soap (along with everything else) every time I shower. Water running over your body doesn't clean much of anything, and certainly does not take care of oils, germs, or sweat.

Soaping up every part of your body is a solid way to dry out the skin.

I can't read the article due to massive popups, but I've been doing it for decades without any skin issues whatsoever Using a soap with moisturizer in it probably helps.

Sounds like everyone is more diligent on washing the inside of the wheel wells on their car over leg washing.

It's what separates the car guys from the car enthusiasts. (Or maybe leg guys from the leg enthusiasts.)

I had a conversation recently with my class mates where a bunch of people were giving me shit for washing my hair daily. They nearly died when I mentioned some days I have 2 showers, one when I get up and another after I go to the gym.

"Oh it destroys the natural oils and bla bla bla..."

I've noticed that when taking the bus, there is a chronic problem with really gross stinky people. It is a solid 1 in 10. WTF is this world coming to? Is stinky the new trendy thing to do as a way to rebel against the man?

    That explains this so much.

After any activity where I sweat, wash full body. Usually 2-3 a week. Wash under pits/grown/ass/feet daily. Shower every day.

Natural oils blah blah blah, yes, fuck those dirty hippies. I shower before work, after work and after the gym if I'm going out. Switching to organic soaps and shampoos made a world of difference for me and has me feeling better overall. I use a bit of rosemary oil in my shampoo since I've been growing my hair.

I have never understood the natural oils argument either - maybe for girls with long thick hair, I get why they might go a couple days without washing it, but for guys it's just an excuse to be lazy/dirty. I shower 1-2 times a day with full shampoo/body soap down each time and have never had issues with dry skin, dry hair, etc. in my entire life. Maybe if you use low quality products full of sulfates, etc. it is worse but I have never had a problem personally.

Unless your hair is going frizzy, you don't need to worry about oil content.

What's a good body wash to use? I use either old spice or the one wife gets from bath and body works.

It's actually quite surprising but the organic section at Superstore near Edgemont has a good variety of sulfate free hygiene products and unlike full on hippy natural food stores you don't need to max out your line of credit buying them.

Funny how beyond has changed over the years from topics of cars to what we do in showers LOL.

Full body scrub for me including legs, between the toes and ears. Only part that doesn't get washed everyday is my back cause I can't reach it all and will wash it with a brush only if I sweated a lot that day.
