Yeah it's like a boost in torque at launch. I think Jeep claims it adds up to 70 lbft at start. It's a 48V battery that also starts the engine up when start/stop is running.

I drove both the 3.6 V6 and 2.0T and the turbo is much faster. It's kind of hilarious to drive around, because it still handles like a Wrangler, but now it's not slow anymore. I don't keep cars for long so long term reliability of this system isn't a concern.
How does a the 48V system fair with all the accessories and winches etc. that jeepers tend to add on?

Your Subaru started to make weird noises after many years of ownership, time to buy a Wrangler which will do that from the factory!

But for real, 2-door Wranglers make for surprisingly awesome city cars, you can park em anywhere.

The 48V system is separate from the 12V. Only the motor and potentially accessories (AC/oil and coolant pump) runs off 48V. It also charges the 12V.

Sorry. You bought 2 Jeeps in a week?
It was more like 2 weeks but one is my dad’s and one is mine even though we will likely switch them around on as needed basis. That being said I’ll be modding the silver one because it’s 2 door and I prefer the looks of that over the 4 door which is the other one. I really hope the tires and wheels come out looking like how I visualize them on the Jeep or I’ll be super disappointed. Guess I’ll find out on Tuesday when they go on.

Agreed. Drove both and the turbo is definitely quicker. For my needs and purposes as a side vehicle I didn’t care for much more than absolute basics. That being said after my dad saw mine - we went in yesterday and got him a 19’ Wrangler Unlimited S as well with all the bells and whistles. The interior refinement is way nicer than Jk as well and feels like a regular nice vehicle. I specifically wanted bare bones for myself but JL is definitely a marked improvement than just the outside minimal differences.
The final push for me was that this Gen you can get Automatic 4 High on the Sahara for the first time, which is what I wanted for winter driving.

I also got a Wrangler haha. Mine is the new gen 2019 JL Sahara with the 2.0T and E-Torque and it is actually pretty quick. I also got something like $9,000 off all together. These things have ridiculous residuals so it's a cheap lease.

Doesn’t seem that far out of line to me, Jeeps are still pretty affordable down south.

Smart move on the headliners, I put the hotheads in mine and it made a massive difference.

    Pretty much this exactly.

Mind you the wrangler is now the new soccer mom flagship vehicle, so I don't blame them for raising prices.

Do you guys not find the ride bumpy on wranglers? We had a 2014 Sport 2 door and couldn't wait to get rid of it. Saharas and Rubicons i think have better suspension but our Sport got annoying really quick.
