    Default OBD GPS trackers

Looking for an OBD GPS tracker without a monthly fee, if it even exists. Any insight would be appreciated.

Several reasons, for example, let's say you have a teenage family member, a new driver and you want to track their driving habits and location. You don't want the person to know the tracker is there and worry about them unplugging it or charging the battery every few days. Well, in this case, it's an adult with a gambling problem.

i think the advantage of ODB is mostly just plug n play for power.

my work truck one came with a harness. It plugs into the oBD port but you can still plug an obd scanner in without knowing the tracker is plugged in. Looking at the port it looks stock. The tracker is on like 2 foot of cable that you hide up in the dash.

Most of them have history for the tracking, so even without a SIM card they can keep history

But if the OP wants real time or near real time tracking then some sort of subscription service will be required.
