From all the reading I've done, furnace fans pull 400 - 600 W if they are the old single speed type. That's 288 to 432 kwh/mo running continuously.
Feel free to check my math.
Based on my limited knowledge, old single speed PCBs probably would draw ~400W. Maybe 600W if it's 15+ years old or very large.

If you still have an old -style PCB worth looking at variable speed ECMs that would probably use less than 1/3rd that electricity or, if you're stuck on not replacing your old fan, not running it 24/7.

i haven't looked at the fans in either of my furnaces. No reason to think they have been replaced, so circa 1991.

How much are these new motors? Can't see them being worth it to save $100 a year in electricity.

I pay 3c a kwh. That's $10 a month. Im ok with paying that to not have a modern fan that will likely break in 5 years.

My house doesn't use any electricity. It's all the appliances and fixtures that do.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Did anyones electric bill go up?
Mine jumped a whopping $12. (yeah yeah before the jokes role in, the bill has been consistent for the last 5 years). Breaking it down... Fees increased around $6.80. Usage increased by $6ish.
Do computers and LED monitors really use that much?

How much has your kwh usage increased though? Thats a better indication as electricity rates fluctuate unless your on a fixed price plan. Many of the 'fees' are still consumption based. I.e. use more electricity and pay more in distribution / transmission charges as well.

kWH usage went increased by 50 from Feb-May '20; 90-100kWH usage during Spring 2019; right now I'm averaging 140-150kWH.

    Probably lighting, computer, TV.

For me, I added a washing machine so that'll contribute that usage increase as well.

for fun I like to see how much Watt my devices consumes so I plug them in a power meter.

my monitors and TV uses around 70-150W each.
if you are running any CPU intensive applications on your computer, then watt consumption goes up too. idle is around 10-20W but can go up to 150-200W for me.

Plus with WFH there's more kitchen appliance usages. Like making coffee in the morning vs at work. Cooking up a lunch instead of packing something to take to work or buying lunch.

Then woukd my home benefit from a more powerful furnace fan? Fan runs 24/7 as it is. Discuss.

Our Enmax bill is about double what I expected this month. Seems like for 3 months they were estimating usage since techs weren't allowed to enter buildings, and now able to do an actual read resulting in 3 months of under-estimating usage. Was a bit of a shock this morning!

More powerful furnace fan may sound nice, my place has a big one, but fuck is it loud.

I need to figure out if I can turn it down actually, it’s keep me up at night loud.

If I find a source for the Mars azure one anywhere in this country, I'm buying the programmer, and I can dial it up and down to my hearts content. That sounds like good geeky fun.

I haven't been able to find anywhere that sells it however. I think "ll need to go into one of the "pro" HVAC places and talk to them. Mars customer support claims that "most wholesalers" will be able to order it.
Best price I found from states was $274 +$90 shipping in USD, so that's $500. Seems crazy, and that's without the programmer, so probably $600 or more all-in.
