Our datapoint:
1100ft2 bungalow. ~375 kw when we are away (so fridge, freezer, etc. loads)
We are 660-775kw when home. Occasionally more in the winter. 2 adults, no kids, home office, 1 full time TV, and the hottub.
We've been slowly converting to energy efficient as best we can.
Signatures are dumb..
400 kw. On a side note: I only got dinged $20/month for the stormwater management fee, which is the same as the sewer line.
Cocoa $12,000 per ton.
Mine is between 400-500 kw most months (May was 400)... it goes up to about 600 in July/August if it's hot outside and both my small AC units are running all the time.

Will fuck off, again.
Did you happen to install those DC motors for your furnance yourself? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I measured my AC furnance which is left on 24/7 because of the HRV and my electric water heater.
Based on the average of the last few days :
Furnace = ~440kWh/month
Water Heater = ~600kWh/month
Over 75% of my electricity cost. Probably time to make some modifications that wouldn't take me too long to recoupe.

Nope. It was standard on my furnace. I had to replace one out of warranty and with labour it was $1200.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

From what i've read it's very easy to install yourself. lots of videos on youtube how to do it.
Haven't done it myself but i will if/when my current original motor from 1989 dies.
EDIT: couple of good links discussing the motor

I dunno how benyl's is that low. My house is smaller and has less shit.
Although I do remember when I first installed my UPS's, had a spike in usage. Wonder if that's what's doing it.

Thats the one I'm looking at swapping to. Cost seems reasonable and I can probably make up for it in about a year. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If I don't update with the results I've probably electrocuted myself.

That seems insane! Electric HW tank? Hot tub? Crypto mining operation? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
How did you measure your current fan's usage? I'm curious how much mine uses and if i would save money long term if i swapped to one of these. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I got one of these and I have an extra one I'll be returning if you're interested. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I think It'll depend on how often your fan operates. You'll save money but you'll have to factor in the recovery cost for the motor.

No to all haha. Really the only thing out of the ordinary is UPS in about 6 or 7 locations through the house. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Hmm i have a multimeter somewhere in my garage, i'll have to dust it off and try and remember how to use it to measure wattage. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I run my fan 24/7 in the summer (recommendation from my A/C installer) so should be a pretty easy calculation to figure out how much it costs me.
Swapped the Mars in this evening. Pretty stright forward. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Took about 2 hours which was longer than I expected. My 2 year old was helping and ended up hiding some screws inside the induction blower through the vent hole and took me a while to find.
I haven't set up the continuous low power run yet but matching the existing med/high setting of the PSC motor it's running ~200 watts less.

Well, confirmed it’s my UPS’s. Of my 1200kwh usage last month, 450kwh is attributed to UPS idling. Another 200kwh is used by network gear, NAS, and satellite receivers in the mechanical room.
Yea, these old UPS’s draw 100W with nothing plugged in and not charging the battery lol. I’d replace the UPS’s but electricity is so cheap.
