Yeah the lights were so bright in town at ~10:00 we didn't bother going out, we just hung out on the front lawn. They are forecasting for them again tonight so maybe I'll take the trip out with a camera.

I know @Melinda got some nice shots last night.
I did! I'll post some after I cull and edit

If they're visible again tonight, I might try again. Maybe I'll remember to bring a shutter release cable this time.

    And gloves

We spent 5 hours freezing in a farmer's field not far from Dalroy last night. I've been chasing aurora for a while now and have never seen a show like this. We actually have a photo of my vehicle behind us with a band of green over top of it all the way south, it went right over top of us. My 16mm lens was not wide enough to get the whole show in. The aurora is actually blurry in so many of my photos because it was moving so insanely fast. A rainbow of colours visible to the naked eye isn't something we get to see too often in southern Alberta, so this was really something special. Here are 5 decent ones from the night, they compressed grainier than they actually are for some reason, but you get the idea.

Thanks Trevor! It was truly an amazing show, better than I've seen in a long time (and I actively chase them!)

My mother’s iPhone pic from last week while driving back home. Love the reflection on the rails. Stunning.

She keeps her camera in her bindle and swaps stories for sponge baths.

    I’d prefer:

Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down,
Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.

It's somehow less greasy than the "ace" night club it used to be. At least now, the sluts aren't pretending not to be sluts, they are just bona fide wholesome sluts.
