I vote this as very cool. Your youngster is lucky to have you providing this experience for him - a cop that used to work with my father back when I was 10 or so owned a go karting track/arcade, and it was by far my favorite place to be.
A few shots from our recent trip to Japan.

This was a bucket list location for me to take this photo and couldn't have asked for better weather to do it.

Sweet travel shots Matt. looks like you went all over Japan and put your camera to good use!
What time did you have to wait to get the shot of Itsukushima Shrine?
High tide was around 830am that day so we got there a bit before that. The island was pretty empty of tourists thankfully, and we got to see some formal wedding photos taken at the dock by the shrine - the photographer was using the old RB67 boat anchor with old school flash!

Loving the Japan shots Matt! Itsukushima looks stellar.
Guess I get to post a travel photo too.

^nice falloff on that, was that with your beastly Fuji?
Took this shot with my Zeiss Ikonta 532/16 and Ilford HP5, then scanned it with a camera that cost 20x more than the Zeiss lol. I really need to get another mirrorless body dedicated for scanning, @D'z Nutz sell me your A7 please

haha I should have bought the one you tipped me off long time ago, seems like A7 are hard to find, talking with a guy living outside of Edmonton right now for one.
I found a few more since then, but never mentioned it cause I didn't think you'd ever buy one haha
Had a chance to document a barley harvest in Penhold last night, moody conditions made for a great backdrop!

Went to add some windshield washer fluid to my car yesterday and found this:
My engine was too hot to try and get it out, but it looked pretty wedged in there.
