Evenings are not busy, even at Deerfoot Meadows which is if I am not mistaken, the busiest in Canada or Western Canada. Sometimes the parking lot looks bad but inside it's pretty dead.

The Okotoks one is not busy even on weekends and there is a new one out by Stony Trail South that I've heard is never busy. I have never been to any others to comment.

Yes, we Costco... minimally, and only in Okotoks on week nights when its not a zoo.

TP, Kleenex, laundry detergent, dish soap, chicken pot pies, garbage bags, frozen chicken and that sort of shit.

We also bought a couple new TV's, some furniture and yard stuff in the past year. Once we get the new house stuff figured out I think we'll cancel and just tag along with the parents every couple months.

And like someone posted above you need to avoid the erratic impulse shopping there. Go with a plan and get out ASAP.

I live right up the hill from that one, and usually still go to the East Hills one, lol. 10 minutes extra driving saves me 20 minutes in line. I went to the Deerfoot Meadows one this morning just to pick up a floor jack, and had to wait 10 min. It wasn't that busy, but there was only two registers open.

I wish they would have a 5 items or less line. Especially for the TV's and shit.

I've never bought clothes at Costco. It's where formerly "cool" brands go in one last flameout with suburban mom's. I'm looking at you Seven jeans and Bench.
Newsflash Patrick Bateman, no one gives a fuck about your clothing when you're old.

Honestly, people don't actually care much when you are young, either.

They used to have an express line on the far left - I am not sure if they still do or not and I imagine most people just ignore it anyway like they do at grocery stores haha. A line for single items would be a good idea though.

Was in there last week in the evening and maybe waited 2 min in line but I've never been there in the morning. They probably just open more tills for the after-work crowd and it seems less busy.

Pretty hard to judge whether something at Costco is "cool" or not. Costco will literally distribute anything they can cut a bulk purchase deal on to sell for cheaper than their competitors.

Seven jeans are still 200$ a pair jeans in proper clothing stores, so it appears their one time run in Costco(if you're even remembering that correctly) didn't hurt their brand much.

I love triggering people from Okotoks by saying I use "their Costco".
You gotta be shitting me, people can't actually think they have exclusive shopping privileges at the Costco in their town

I'm currently wearing $10 Costco shorts. My nicer shorts are all too short, makes me look like Asian Freddie Mercury.

Big big fan of Costco. We go to the Okotoks one every weekend or every other weekend. All of my jeans, shorts, and some dress pants are from there. We buy nearly all of our meat from there as well then have a good ol fashioned vacuum sealing party. My wife likes getting her plants from there in the spring as well.

I also buy lots of Costco clothes. Workout clothes, work pants, merino wool socks & base layers, regular socks, etc. Hard to go wrong. Most of it is good quality brand name stuff too. I think back to my teens where I actually cared about certain brands and I wish I wasn't such an idiot back then haha - could have saved a ton of money.

I buy meats here and there but never buy clothes because it all just doesn't work for me. I might very well get my next TV there but for the weekly haul it's Superstore, I usually don't need 6 dozen and 25 lbs of everything plus if I'm gonna feed a disgusting corporate machine I'd rather it be Canadian. I always buy wine there as much as possible tho, my 2 go-to's are almost 40% cheaper there than at a regular LC. I also buy ski tickets there in the winter, not much is as sickening as paying full price at the hill, it's just not necessary.

Last few times I was in there I grabbed a few tubs of Kaizen cuz it's super clean and super cheap and a few packs of smoked salmon. It really makes me sad when I see shopping carts heaped up and overflowing with processed foods, candy and snacks and dozens of pop bottles and cereal and cake and juice, ughhh, young family with 2 kids in tow, literally spending 5 or 6 hun to feed their families garbage... the marketing machine does a great job of keeping people fatter and unhealthier than they need to be.

I buy my tires at Costco all the time. It's the one important purchase I wont make anywhere else. Reason for me doing this was their warranty. I'd end up with lots of flats from construction sights and if a tire was non repairable they'd replace all 4 tires.

Had the tires swapped out so often that I almost always had new tires on my one vehicle. Only downside is depending on when the flats happened the wait for tire service could be really really bad come winter.

Have a new truck that needs new tires so I'll be getting this done soon.

Can't give up Costco. I find wearing headphones at Costco or Superstore make it tolerable.

No, The one by Deerfoot meadows is apparently the busiest Costco in Canada. I cant justify paying for a membership just to deal with the crowds, the parking and everything else. Fuck that, I dont mind paying slightly more for food and everything else, elsewhere, to not deal with the typical Costco horseshit. Cheap food to eat when you're at the Deli, but no other reason to go.
