11-2 SOG. The 2 shots came from the red line and blue line. 0 shots on the van PP. It’s pure domination against a team with a goalie that’s stopping everything. Screened, tipped, lateral, rebound open net, nothing gets by Demko apparently.

I mean if the knights lose this, I probably still won’t be as mad as last years game 7 bad 5 min major penalty call that turned the 3 goal lead into a loss. So that’s my bright side?

Demko could only do so much. The Canucks lacked any kind of jump - they looked exhausted out there. If they somehow managed to make it to the WCF I imagine another physical team in Dallas would have finished them off anyway.

Still, as a fan it was nice to see a decent playoff run again.

My youngest, who’s a flyers fan, was nearly in tears as they were officially eliminated. That lasted 5 mins and he’s practicing top shelf shots in his flyers jersey. Fucking kids haha.

Do you think this Canucks team is legit though or was this all a fluke? My understanding is that they are going to have major cap problems next season, they won't even be able to keep both goalies...plus rental guys like Toffoli...

Vancouver will be fine if they can get Eriksons and Luongos contracts off the books. At this point you can’t go wrong with Markstrom or Demko, but judging by Demkos performance it makes you wonder wtf they are going to do.

Goalies go through hot and cold streaks. You can’t judge a performance like that and expect him to carry the team through a season and playoffs. Let’s not forget the team was outshot 2:1 in that series. As happy as Canucks fans should be with their performance, there’s still a long ways to go.

Well they made it to game 7 of the second round. To get there they had to go through two tough, big, hard hitting opponents, one of which were the defending cup champs. They obviously run out of gas, Vegas is a fast team and the back to back games were a killer. They need a few more pieces to be a team that consistently competes in the playoffs. Calgary and Edmonton’s runs to the cup all those years ago were a fluke, they haven’t done anything past the regular season since then.

Dallas is 111% in this game in spite of the shot clock. Currently showing Vegas at shots >3:1 but Dallas's chances are extremely high quality.
