Default F1 Pirelli Grand Prix De France 2019

Following the craziness that came about from the last race, Ferrari have confirmed Vettel has been ordered on a low sodium diet.
In a recent interview with a French journalist at a local Chinese restaurant. Le Clerc has vowed he will not be surrendering his race position easily. To the dismay of the journalist, he was reminded that he was in France and they always surrender easily..Everyone does, no point in ducking that.

Le Goomba.. (aka Hamilton) has a opportunity to increase his lead, but will Bottas and Verstappen have other plans..?
History dictates the German(Vettle) will take lead, but eventually will be pushed back by the British. Will history repeat itself..?

Williams have shown fantastic improvement from the last race. One of their cars did not finish last. This is a great testament to British engineering. Brilliant driving by George Russle showed us the sheer genius that he is and what is yet to come.

In other news, I finally got a BBQ.. I shit you not. A second hand $50 Sterling BBQ from a friend. Hell.. they even delivered it.
Brockwurst is back on the menu. Maybe we can all get together and have a F1 sausage party at mine? Or even French Toast...Who knows..

    Thanks for that haha.

Excited for this race. McLaren looks to be even with RBR here for 3rd fastest team.

Yup. I’m happy as a McLaren fan. Baby steps. Thought practice pace was just practice, but it looks genuine.

Some more details on how well McLaren is improving. With the new rules designed to slow the cars down, Mercedes smashes their own lap record by 1.7s. McLaren’s improvement from last year? A whopping 3.5s. What’s more impressive is that McLaren is still running the older spec Renault right now as the new spec engine was introduced out of sync with engine usage, and Renault claims a 0.4s improvement at this track with the new spec engine. Norris qualifies 5th 0.008s behind Verstappen today after making a couple mistakes in the last sector. The biggest indicator tho is Q2 where we followed the top teams in qualifying with the medium tires so that we can start the race on the optimal strategy, instead of sacrificing strategy with tires to secure top 10.

I hate being hopeful as a McLaren fan because I get burnt every single year, but I just can’t help it this weekend and year.

McLaren on the upswing. Alonso back in a seat next year? Was Ferrari's pace just not there for Vettel or was there a technical/mechanical issue?

Also, Mercedes is Mercedes. These guys have their foot down and crushing the field this year.

WTF happened to Vettle..? No blitzkrieg from the German today I guess.

Interesting to see Mclaren up there. That is impressive. The start should be interesting seeing Mclaren, Ferrari and Riciardo all sandwiched to together.
Why is Gasly so off the pace in compariston to Max..? Should Red Bull kept Riciardo..?

Side question, where can one buy German sausages in town..? Farmers market..?

RBR had no choice in Ric staying. I am sure they wanted him to stay over Gasly because he got promoted before he was ready. I hope they don't do the same with Albon. Albon is going to be great in 1-2 years.

So it's Mercedes and then the best of the rest. Has .Mercedes just upped their game that much or has Ferrari just fallen that much?

I would say Ferrari improved their pace slightly more than Mercedes this year. Ferrari was clearly faster at Bahrain and Canada. They’re just figuring out new and creative ways to fuck themselves.

Interesting.. I might have to check this out. Shame its closed on Sundays. Might get some food for the German GP.

Predictions...? I got a feeling Mclaren might surprise us.
Lando is only 19!!! 19!!!!! Friggen hell. When I was 19 the only thing I had to my name was driving as a passenger from Leicester to Nottingham in a old 1.4L Vauxhall Astra going 120mph. Driving around the city centre twice, coming back and going for a kebab with my mates after.
I guess it helps when Landos dad is one of the richest people in Bristol. No shortage of Sunday roast dinners thats for sure.

    Race kicks off 7.10am..

Going to be an interesting race. The front 2 are going to have their own race, but the rest of the pack will be real interesting.

I hate this track. The run off areas are so so stupid.

    So much excitement so far.

McLaren doing well, doesn’t have the RBR race pace.

Poor Lando. Ricciardo being investigated now, such a sketchy last lap. Goes off track, rejoins and pushes lando off. Then goes off track on the straight to pass Kimi haha.

Would be surprised if there wasn’t a penalty there.
