Default Where to find 15W50 diesel oil locally?

I’m trying to find some 15W50 oil that’s diesel rated locally and I’m striking out. Lots of gas rated in that viscosity but nobody seems to carry any diesel rated. Any suggestions where to look?

Try a Peavy Mart, think they had it last I checked.

    Mobil-1 makes a 15w50 and Walmart carries Mobil-1, don't they?
It meets API CF which is a diesel rating.

My local Walmart (deerfoot) has a really unreliable oil selection. They are often out of things.

I tried all sorts of places that carry Mobil 1 but none of them had it sadly.

My truck. The oil pressure is getting to low for comfort when towing my trailer in summer. Will switch back to 0W40 for winter.

I buy my Mobil1 15W-50 at Canadian tire. It’s in the 1L bottles only.

I’ve found it but it’s only rated for gasoline engines, they didn’t seem to have the diesel spec.

It works wonders for POS Ford engines with cam phaser/chain/top end noise....quiets them up enough for auction time.

Haven’t had any success, seems to be more of a European/Asia/Australia weight of diesel oil. Might have to stick with a 15W40 for summer for now I guess.

That’s why I was asking...15W40 diesel oil is available everywhere. Run that in the turbo car too.

I picked up some 15W40 Rotella for now. I was dropping to 225KPA oil pressure at highway speed on long uphill pulls with the trailer behind it.

Do you have aftermarket oil pressure gauge? Is this something I should be watching on my truck?

Just the OEM gauge. I’m probably worrying too much as it’s still within spec at 1800rpm but I would like some extra assurance.

In that case I'll keep not paying attention to the gauges in my gasser. I assume the pressure on my 10w30 is fine.

Just finished my three hour oil change, really happy the previous person to touch my oil filter tightened it to like 100lb/ft.

My vice grip chain wrenches are handy for that.

What’s the difference between a diesel oil and one for a gasoline engine?

Gasoline and diesel oils have different additive packages because the contaminates in the crankcase are different. With a gasoline engine you get a lot of moisture and tar and with a diesel the oil becomes acidic and will collect more carbon and soot.
