I have in my life done things probably AS stupid, but not that particular offence.
Back when I might have done this, I couldn't afford it.
Ditto. I’ve jumped a F150 with a 1200lb hay bale in the back that broke the frame between the leaf spring perches and I’d say this camper photo is stupider. Still drove the truck on the farm for a year, ride was weird.

    So how does this work:

    2018 F150 Lariat 502A 4x4 3.5EB Short Box

Max weight for cargo and occupants is 1505lbs yet the payload listed for my truck on Ford's website is:

Does that really mean that my truck has 545lbs worth of options, bells and whistles that take away from my max weight?

Pretty much that’s the implication yes. Those payload charts arent worth the paper they are printed on.

Ventilated seats and that massive glass roof are heavy as hell. Leather weighs more than cloth.

Sunroofs on trucks are a huge pet peeve of mine. No idea why they exist. Unfortunately my truck has one.

Agreed I don't like the sunroof either but once you get into the well equipped stuff it's impossible to find one without a sunroof

There's so many things on a truck that are detrimental to the payload capacity, but of course everyone "needs" their power everything.

The good news is that if you are only a "couple hundred" pounds over your payload rating, you will be in good company, as that's incredibly common. Not saying it's great, but people do it without catastrophe every weekend.

I'm more worried about my Rear Axle GAWR I was 100kg over this weekend

Played with the WD bars a bit and got it down to only 15kg over but still disappointed. Time to get some air bags I guess.

Air bags help with sag, but don't change the axle rating, or the physical load on the axle.

Oh for sure, I just think sag is a bit much.

I've realized I probably shouldn't be hauling with a full fresh water tank as that's what puts me over.

Spend some time at the cat scale and see how much that water tank really changes things. Or just mess around with where you load things in the trailer storage. Moving 100 lbs from front storage to bavk will take more than 100lbs off your tongue.
Or carry less in the bed. Or get a skinnier girlfriend.
    Always options.
