The iron 883's are basically a blacked out package of the regular sportster 883. I actually have a buddy selling a stupid low mileage 883 sportster with some nice bars etc for around the 5k mark actually if you're Interested, I can put you in touch with him.

EDIT: thought mileage was lower it's at 9600kms and I guess he's asking $6200 for it

Harley's are nice since there's so much aftermarket support for them, and you can play around with different styles. Wether you want to run a cafe racer look, bobber, etc it can be done easily.

Does he have a Kijiji link I can look at? 9600 isn't that high if the year and price is right I guess.

    For example I don't get the difference in people's asking prices;

    2013 w/ 9800 kms - $9000
    https://www.kijiji.ca/v-street-cruis...ationFlag=true

    2014 w/ 2800 kms - $6400
    https://www.kijiji.ca/v-street-cruis...ationFlag=true

It's too bad that looks wise, I keep getting attracted to the blacked out versions more but the asking price differences are huge and I can't bring myself to lowball someone with $6K if they are asking for $9K. Haha.

That's a little too old for me. And that's exactly what I was talking about. I see 2008's listed at that price point then I have someone willing to sell me a 2013 with less than 3K km's for the same price point. Makes me think if they are all different models or something or what.

Anyway, I started looking at Moto Guzzi's again as I miss the v7 Racer I had. Checked out a V7ii Stone yesterday that I am heavily leaning towards now. Harley 48 would be my first choice right now but I can't find any in my price point.

Buy an XR1200 if you like sportbikes, but want a Harley. Of all the bikes I have owned, none make me grin like the XR1200

Guys it’s done deal. Just did about 40 kms after picking it up and it’s glorious.

EDIT: What are you guys using for helmet cameras these days? Think it's important to have one when out riding.

    Exactly my thoughts

Buy the 650r. Or an MT-07. Also with your intended usage, a supermoto is probably a great fit... you should look at a couple if you haven't yet.

I ordered a fender eliminator kit for the Guzzi. Supposed to look pretty slick after and give it even more of the cafe racer look.

The FZ-09 and SV650 both fall into what you're looking for

Totally! I already seeing it cleaning that up a lot and looking much more like a cafe racer.

Ya not a fan of that. Would you have liked factory done matte black exhaust instead of my chrome one but I will likely leave that alone.
