Not too sure what people think. Sure its gross, sure its the wrong thing to do. But people gotta live next to each other and share the same germs, its literally the double dipping kid in grade school - there always is at least one.

Does 2 to 10 years in jail seem appropriate punishment for a teenager? Texans would say 10 years. Personally I'd think the public embarrassment and 90 days public work would be more suitable punishment, unless the teenager had some known contractable disease.

Some brands of ice cream do have a tear away seal but the older traditional bucket style does not. The brand that was licked came out saying their ice cream is frozen initially upside down in the bucket and the initial opening has a certain feel/is harder to do than any other time afterwards so you could feel if it's been opened already. But yeah, I'm sure this will lead to all being sealed in some fashion because of morons like in the news story.

I get the cheapy tub of PC chocolate ice milk every once in a while. Even that has a small shrink wrap seal (like you would find on a mouthwash bottle)

Kids do dumb shit, but because this was passed around on the Internet, I think people are worried about creating copycats. Thus, their biggest concern is deterring others from doing it in hopes of stopping a dumb, and really gross, fad before it gets started.
