I go multiple times with Work every year and I am so tired of it. I don't mind other events associated with it like the breakfasts and such but going to the grounds sucks IMO.

I am also so tired of seeing animals injured/shot at the Rodeo. I avoid the Rodeo whenever possible.

Eh we usually go every other year or so. The crowds aren't too bad in the daytime. We checked out the sheep shearing, fence competition, and heavy horse pull this year and enjoyed all of them. Add some BBQ and a lemonade and that makes for a pretty solid day even without watching the main rodeo events - maybe we'll do that next time.

FWIW I used to dislike the Stampede but I've clearly mellowed on it.

Last Friday. I enjoy the Western Oasis and the very scantily clad women everywhere.

Born and raised Calgarian, wife and i go to grounds once or twice every year. Mostly to sample food, check out exhibition, gamble some money at over under, check out the prizes for the draws. Besides that usually check out either cowboys or one of the other tents one night too.

Last time would have been around 2015. Went on Saturday with the wife to check out the midway and the animal exhibits.

The girls aren't as hot as I remember, probably all hiding out at Nashville North

I usually leave town during Stampede, but this year I had a few corporate events I had to attend.

I'm truly not a fan of large crowds, its just a shit show.

The wife and I went to the Chucks/ Grandstand on Friday night, and I don't know if its just me, but the Grandstand show this year was absolutely TERRIBLE.
I still don't understand the award winning "freestyle" tap dancers that didn't even dance to the rhythm of the music...

    Ha! That's brilliant!
99.9998% of people say it TOTALLY SUCKS but they get 7-figure attendance and sales.

I go about every year but often only once. I like to go early and leave after lunch when the crowds are swelling. I super enjoyed watching the rodeo, last year but I couldn't make it to that or Chuck's this year.

I think it's mostly locals who don't like it as much because they went every year for so many years and are finally tired of it. People still come from all over North America to go to the Stampede and for them it's probably much more fun. Attendance will always stay high with tourists and work events.

The Grandstand show is plain bad though, I don't understand how that is popular enough to have ever year.

we go once or twice every year with friends or family, still enjoy getting my corndog and deep fried oreo fix from there.
giant squid on a stick was delicious too.

glad that wife and I are not party people.. we dont envy one bit the people lining up for hours to get into the beer tents.

I dunno, waiting in line for 3-4 hours to buy $10 beers wasn't fun when I was 20 either haha.

I mean, 5 minutes of planning and you won't wait in line for more than 10 minutes. Beers are also only $8.25

It was all about the girls - and they could be found outside the lineups just the same. No need to go inside. We just went to some local pubs instead.
