Default Fuel system service - car engine light and trac off triggered

Took my car in for a service yesterday and fuel system clean or service was due so got that done too. The tech did not tell me that these lights would be triggered before the service but then told me that it happens to all vehicles. Anyway he told me after 2 hours of driving it would go away. 4 hours of driving later they are still both on. I’m more concerned about the trac off than the engine light. I have a computer thingy should I just reset them both to enable traction control again. Pressing my traction control button does nothing.

Um that usually means a return trip to the shop.

What did they do besides the fuel system 'clean'?

Called the shop back the manager again stated that the o2 sensors are tripped by the fuel additives and they can reset it if I come in so I will reset myself. Read online that my next fill up should also reset it.

I would pull the codes first before resetting anything. Flushes should not be resulting in emissions codes otherwise they would lose most of their business to warranty BS.

They fucked something up, accept nothing less.

"flushes" are bullshit. You were scammed even if it didn't fuck something up, but it sounds like they did.

The codes only came on during the additive pour while I was idling the engine at 2000 rpm they hang some can of something from your bonnet and pour it in, takes like 5 mins. I will pull the codes later.

Another reason not to go to jiffy lube type places. Charge you for snake oil maintenance and fuck up your car in the process

Code was P0300. No other codes. I cleared it. I will take my obd reader with me on my camping trip and get it checked out by a real shop if it returns or if it points at one of my six cyclinders.
