This is just my own insecurity, but if I owned a base Vette it would burn my ass every time I saw a Z06 on the road lol.
This has always been my thoughts too. Maybe I'm just getting old now? But a big part of me is just starting to feel like I don't care about the power anymore. If I can just get the aero or widebody parts on the base model, that should be good enough. I mean you can't do so much as 10 over the limit nowadays without getting bent over by the police. I definitely don't need a 3rd license suspension for BS 15km/h over tickets stacking up.

Need to win the Powerball, then just by an island to build a private track on.

That would be whatever the new Grand Sport is: all of the Z06 bits without the forced induction headaches.

I mean if you want to blindly put deposits down, putting one down on the fast version only makes sense.

I’m surprised so many people want the base car actually.
"Base Corvette" very loosely describes the car
It's very nice as is and offers incredible performance.

At $70K CAD it's within reach for many people.
Z06 will probably start between $97K-$100K for the "Base" Z06 without the extra luxuries, closer to $130K for a fully loaded Z06 with all luxuries and carbon ceramic brakes, at which at that point becomes very out of reach for the average middle class person.

Nothing wrong if someone can only afford the "base" car and I don't think they should stretch themselves to the top of the line model.

I actually found the entry level C7 and the Grand Sport a lot more fun to drive on the street compared to the Z06 that has so much power that it's completely unusable for the street.
Also got a lot of feedback from clients that the Grand Sport is a lot more fun on a track since you can actually use its power. You'd have to be a pro level driver to drive a Z06 at 9/10ths.

You forget that every beyond.ca member is a pro-level driver.

Hoovies garage is so bad didn’t know anyone watched that.

Also those customers who think a grandsport is more fun around the track are pussies. Then again, they’re probably 65 years old and can’t think too fast.

I dont mind hoovie. He's so cheesy it's funny.

Most automotive YouTubers are worse. Anyone ever try to get through a whole episode of DDE?

Damn, that black one is nice, debadged already!! People would be like “is that a Ferrari? Mclaren?”. I would add aero package with high wing then it’s complete!

The DDE car content is great. Standing Damon, Dave and Alex is another story...

Black looks great, sold on everything but the rear end.

DDE is what happens when the ricer civic crowd from 20 years ago comes into some cash.

    I kinda like this build:

Although the questionable back end is greatly improved with a wing delete.

    I'm torn.
Some angles it looks so nice and some other angles it looks so tacky. I feel like this look won't age very well.

    Gotta see one close up.

Welcome to Corvette land. They did say the same thing about the c7... And it has aged okay. Well except for the interior

This is everything the NSX could have been.

Here is hoping the C8 will have an impact on used Dodge Viper prices. They have, so far, held their value at near MSRP or appreciated in value.

Capitalizing on the C8 clickbait train like everyone else on YouTube. Kind of sad when he is one of the top 5 automotive Youtubers. Wouldn't think he would need to stoop to that.

DDE is not stupid. I doubt Damon even likes those gay as aids wraps he has on all the cars, but it's a brand recognition thing. They know which demographic they will get followers from, and they execute a plan perfectly. At 2 million followers Damon is making more cash than probably anyone on this forum, and the son of a bitch is doing for a living most of time, what the rest of us would love to do. Hang around super cars all day every day. He didn't so much "come into money" as he did grind for years to get to where he is at. If the retarded stuff they do is what it took to make a million a year, then count me in. Beats what I do, and I ain't making a million a year yet.

With the political landscape going where it's going, I have a feeling an ACR-E kept with zero miles and covered in a garage, will be an investment like the 2006 Ford GT was. But yeah I hear you, I would love to get back in a Viper. Once I make the move to BC, I will probably grab another Gen3, something cheap with high miles. Bide my time with that and see how the GenV market goes. Hopefully find a nice Stryker Green or Purple eventually.
