What's the latest talk about when these things will be in stock at dealerships? Two of them are on the ground @ GSL today.

Wonder how many preorders are going to fall through?
At least one person in the Alberta Corvettes group has decided not to take delivery of his car that arrived this week, VIN #90.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Given $cdn being so low, if you can get it for MSRP, isn't this like driving virtually free for the 1st year or 2?
Financial related I believe. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Not bad. First time ever I'd consider getting a Vette.
I can see why some buyers are swapping out wheels pretty quick - the white does not work with silver wheels and the wheel arch gap is quite large (for exotics)
It's a pretty beautiful vehicle. I will always struggle with the lack of originality as GM has blatantly copied Ferrari and with the C7 everything that was awesome about Chrysler for so long... The C7 was the perfect blend of Viper and Vette. However, I love Ferrari's 812 which is honestly, somewhat of an American Corvette "copy" so it's hard to say, particularly without having driven the units.
I think everyone can/should agree that the first 2020 C8 units not hitting the road until Q2 of 2020 is a big letdown. My friend won't get his until June... That's just not a 2020 by that point.
I'm also blown away at the lack of paper horsepower from such a massive engine in this eloquent mid/rear configuration. It's laughable, really - isn't it? But - if the unit performs, then it's just another fine example of the US vehicle methodology shining.
Yeah there is something super wrong with these wheels. They stand out in a bad way. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Corvette is still more GT than exotic. I guess they have to keep something to not to piss off the old fan base completely. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Those cars are likely in transport mode and haven’t had the shipping blocks removed yet, they probably will settle a little lower when they are ready for delivery.
Just because it's mid engine, doesn't mean it's an exotic. It's still a <$100k American car.
My friend had ordered one last year, his has arrived and he will be taking delivery in the next few days. Looking forward to seeing it.
I am generally a fan of the design (especially considering $/perf), but i cannot un-see the fact that it looks like they designed the rear end with a priority on trunk size over design language. The fact that they were handcuffed with their trunk requirement really makes the rear end awkward, thankfully the optional spoiler helps.

I like it more as a vert... the big rear deck almost has a CGT-est feel to itThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It LOOKS like an exotic - to me anyway. My old CLK55 has a smaller wheel arch gap .... hahaThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Also - not just blocks.

They had to make room for the T tops to be stored there, along with stuff. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I wish they kept the round taillights as a nod to its heritage, but conform it to the exotic feel of the rest of the car.
Something like the Arrinera Hussarya, which funny enough has its engine based on GM's LS3...
