I've never liked a Corvette until now for sure. I think they did an amazing job with it. Only problem that I see is considering that it's relatively inexpensive, you are likely gonna start seeing a lot on the roads which loses a significant appeal for me.
Not just that, I seen the C8 on the road a few times already.
It doesn't have that wow factor and there is something odd looking about it. You'll sell it within 3 months of owning it.

As if he wouldn’t do that with any car

Re: c8, I’ve seen a few as well. Looks great from front and side, but pretty lame from the back. I spent some time defending the rear end a while back, but now that I’ve see it in person, it’s awful.

I think I saw one yesterday and also thought there was something odd about it. The intake "gills" or whatever those side scoops are called were too pronounced.

It’s as if people are surprised it’s still a Chevy or something.

Almost a 10 second quarter mile stock for a base model.

This. It's the usual Corvette recipe: low tech, high performance, all presented in a very questionable exterior/interior package.

Like many cars I have no interest in buying, I'm still glad they exist.

It's an affordable mid engine car with awesome straightline. Not as sophisticated but the market thinks it's worth tens of thousands above MSRP.

The only thing that looks odd is the THICC rear end, even in person.

Ya, I called the shit rear end early.

They needed two things that ensured it was bad: a rear trunk thing, and a "legacy" of corvette rear design.

    Better than a 911?

Even comparing a 3LT trim to a base 911.. and you can throw a silverado into the deal and still come out ahead.

You don't really see a lot of Vettes now relative to the rest of the cars on the road. I doubt that the 20+ Vettes will become a highway staple, regardless of their value in the segment.

The problem I have is even if it’s better to drive, Porsches feel special but I don’t feel special in Corvettes and that’s worth a lot of money.

people with porsche money to spend on one car should buy the porsche. People who want a corvette and a silverado for the same price, have that option.

911's are great at everything...except value.

ALthough, "real car guys" aren't about value anyway, because boring transportation appliances are best value.

Performance automobiles are for people bad at math. Just like the lottery.

Life is better when you just consider toys to be toys and stop pretending value has anything to do with it

While i agree the P car package is certainly priced at a premium, at least they do not depreciate like AMG's and Aston's.
