5 seconds of auto trader says 130-150k. Used.

    Hard no.

GM’s website says $70k. But that feels like a bait and switch to me.

By the time you add the packages you want, it's almost $100k.

No dealer is willing to let it go for MSRP other than the few early pre-order ones.

Trudeau luxury tax comes in next year, so it can only be more expensive in the used market.

I don't love the way they look in person. That design won't age well.
I agree, looks like a stretched out Fiero. But fucking ugly.

I just built one for fun and it came to 111k. Outrageous.

The pandemic has thrown car pricing out of whack. We are living in a world today where people are paying MSRP for domestic vehicles. If automakers could build actually build cars at even 3/4 capacity you would be able to get them for less than $100k.

Seems like the inflation won't be transient. And the rebuilding of supply chains globally will inflate all prices. Cars, especially ICE cars could be good investments if you pick the right one.

Inflation is going to be a very real thing for many items, including autos. Not sure that makes them a "good investment" but maybe less bad than previously. GM is going to build as many as possible and will work hard to bring real prices down to sub 100k as soon as supply is flowing. This is the "everymans" supercar, so it needs to be mostly affordable.

i guess we'll see, 3LT vert MSRP is $93k, so $52k more seems realistic, obviously they'll sell for way over like their predecessor though lol

or did you think that was high Darkane?

Very high. I can’t see the base Z06 model being more than 120k.

That still makes it roughly 30% higher than the 2019 base price.

With Z07, carbon ceramics, interior, blah blah, it’s a 200k corvette.

    I just don’t see it?

Tough to tell really. Hypothetically - an Audi R8 with exotic under pinning and awd is 223 here.

A full load vette at 200 isn’t a bargain… is it? They’ll have roughly the same power, one is much better quality and interior, and awd.

Shrug, I’m excited for it. I hope it is cheap as it’s caught my attention

A guy in our club just got one, 3LT Convertible with Z51, nose lift and some other smaller options. He paid $115K all in, which is basically MSRP. The dealership made him sign a contract that he won't sell it for a year. Seems like GM is trying, albeit unsuccessfully, to subdue the scalpers. Though some of the scumbag dealers themselves are adding some hefty "market adjustments".

Interior layout is very driver-centric, passenger is an afterthought, overall the fit & finish is nice though imho. They do absolutely look better in person than in pictures. The performance and handling, even on stock tires and factory alignment is absolutely insane. It handles exceptionally well, puts power down beautifully and feels quicker than a 3400lb/495hp NA car should.

If I could get a 1LT w/ Z51 and the comp sport buckets for even close to MSRP there would be one in my garage. The car is a game changer, when the Z06 shows up it should be an absolute monster.

I can easily see a fully optioned Z06 go for 146K CDN.

Can you call your contact and get him to disclose the base price and option prices?

    I am projecting
    Base price ~95-100k
    With 2LT add 10k.
    Z07 package 10-15k.
    Mag ride 2k.

    2LT with Z07 package im expecting 130k

Need to see the option list. Reveal date on October 26th.

If you arent in line already you wont be able to get one for 3-4 years.
