This is exactly what I am talking about. Not much left to be said when you are dealing with a dictator.

I'm sick of these media shit, reading it both the original Chinese one and English, it feels like having an MSG overdose after some cheap Chinese take-out.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/14/w...-bomb-ied.html

A police officer was stabbed in the neck, now home-made bombs.

I have nothing more to say, and I won't reply to any of your post.

Lol. Just like flat earthers, there is nothing that can convince/change their beliefs. Only tunnel vision on what you support and blindly believe. Probeijing people cannot accept the root cause of all these violence runs deep into the Chinese communist party?

1 small bomb (no one injured, barely even damaged the soil around it) and a few cops with non life threatening injuries justifies Crushed bodies and shattered bones threat from China? Endorsing mass murder and supporting a gov which has murdered and will continue to murder millions, makes you somewhat culpable.

    Fuck the Chinese Gov.

You do make a very good point with respect to China murdering and making many just disappear. Problem is that the rest of the supposed free world is just too hooked on Chinese made stuff and as such, are willing to turn a blind eye to some things which may be happening. But then again, I'm an old white guy, ancient by beyond standards because beyond pups consider themselves old, and what do I know.
    Will fuck off, again.

Lebron James joins the pro-China side.

    https://www.sportsnet.ca/basketball/...ng-protesters/

By my estimation, about 15% of HK is young pro-HK. 15% is old people sitting on the porch pro-China. And the rest are shoulder shruggers just mad that all the streets are blocked and they can't make money. Democracy would have the protestors arrested for blocking progress, just like natives here. If the majority are the shoulder shruggers, you have to say the protestors *must* move on - if you believe in democracy.

Time to start cracking some noggins' so that people can eat their dinners in peace again?

But then again, Trump is pro North Korea (and I'm not entirely sure what he thinks of South Korea)

    I blame the British.

So Bob, are you saying that Xi didn't really say "粉身碎骨" and it's just fake news on the internet and picked up by MSM?

I was in Spain the last 3 weeks and is out of the loop but this piece did make it on TV news and I thought the wording sounds Trumpish coming from Xi.

Well, in Chinese, when we said "粉身碎骨" not mean we are going to kill someone or so ...

Often hear someone says " I will do everything for the girl I love, even 粉身碎骨 .... " , or even " I will take the moon down for her ...."

Like all the Rioters, protestors in Hong Kong, even Vancouver, and that famous 6/7 year old kid ... when they said "Fu*k your old mother" .. not mean they are going to have sex with some 50, 60, 70, or 80 year old Chinese ladies ... (how could the kid ... to do that..)

I am just more interested why Xi said such childish phrase unless he is aiming that at uneducated masses at home.

And why Bob9979 thinks that Chinese article is amped in anyway since it's written by an official CCCP member. The way I read that, it's probably the most straight forward report I have read.

See the difference? 粉身碎骨 literally means “crushed bodies and shattered bones”,but who takes idiom meaning literally? Using that translation for title is not proper journalism.

Trumpish? If you follow Chinese politics closely, Xi is known for using simple and straight-forward phrases, somehow. Many Chinese mock him for having a junior high diploma only.

You know what HK needs, a Greta-level spokesperson. All I've seen from the unofficial leaders of the protest, is the weakest speech with the passion of a wet dog in the rain, very possibly on opiods.
