Bottom line is, that was a clean hit and Kassian snapped. He lost it. Straight shot to the solar plexus...
One of the smartest moves by chucky in my opinion. Won them the game.

It was a clean hit but he knows better. There's a lot of grey area in the rules and while it wasn't "illegal" it was a dirty play.
Disagree, if you have the puck behind the net or are skating around the net. Keep your head up. It was not a dirty play if anything Kassian made a rookie move by expecting he wasn't going to be hit. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Lots of EDM fans triggered today. It's glorious. An no one is talking about the dirty shit McDavid did after the hit.

This about sums it up....
https://thehockeynews.com/news/artic...dle-taking-oneZack Kassian has doled out 1,067 hits during his career, but can’t seem to handle taking one

Now you can’t even hit a superstar 13-goal scorer such as Zack Kassian without having to fight.

More good points here, looks like the first hit was a hit to the head by the one twitter post, so that's pretty greasy. At least the one before the fight was just a heavy shoulder to shoulder haha
The oilers media makes me absolutely sick. They're a bunch of whining losers lol. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The league, Kassian's own coach and multiple others have defended Tkachuck's hits, saying they were clean.
If you look at the one's whining, they are all connected in some way shape or form to the Oiler's organization.
Meanwhile McDavid hit Tkachuck from behind moments after the second hit to Kassian, not word is said. But who cares! its a nothing play.
The flames won the game, MOVE THE FUCK ON. Its actually comical and sad all at once.
Edit:
This was less than a month ago... Not a word.
Look at the direction the head whips in the first hit. It was shoulder. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Wanted to get some outside perspective on the Tkachuk stuff. So I listened to the hockey central podcast from Toronto based Sportsnet 590.
Summary is that a) if that what a different player that hit a different player, it could have been bad. B) tkachuk isn't going to change his behaviour, although maybe other players might. C) something might happen next game. D) it was a clean hit, but it may have been outside "the code" and that's why Kassian was mad.
So, that sounds like nothing we all didn't already know.

I say stupid shit all the time.
The Magic 8-Ball that is NHL Discipline has spoken.
2 game suspension for Kassian.
The penalty cost them the game so I think this is pretty ridiculous, but honestly, anything that comes from NHL Discipline is either too hard, too soft, or too medium. I can't think of a time where their decision made any sense.
If lucic got a game for a punch to the face of an unwilling combatant what is the correct length for 30 punches?
Wouldn’t too medium be on the money? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Sig nuked by mod.
His first game back is against the Flames... that is going to be some must watch television.

It was about as "30 punches" by Kassian as it was 30 strides that Chucky took before he hit him. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I retract my earlier statement that the hit was clean as I was only looking for elbows or head contact. He took five strides before that hit and that's Charging, period. The whole thing should've been 2 for Charging and the Double Minor for Roughing and call it a day. Flames maybe still would've scored but this supplementary discipline is random horse shit.
The latest Sportsnet story points out their complete random suspensions, as well.

They almost have a double header coming up, for sure worth watching haha
i thought the Tkachuk billboard idea was dumb, but if they put this up it's actually pretty funny haha
