Another game letting in 8 goals?
Second one in two weeks, but this time to a team who is last in their division and had 5 straight L's...

Come to realization how Cassie is so annoying and her opinions don’t make sense.. lol. I didn’t mind her before but the more I listen to her, the worse it gets.

What a rough loss last night. I guess we got a taste of our own medicine from the last time we met in Nashville.

I've never seen a more clear cut case of "play until the whistle blows"
Man, one lifted stick, clear a body in front etc and the tying goal doesn't go in

Sub 10 seconds left in the game (or sub 1 second in this case) just start grabbing, mauling, slashing, murdering players in front of the net... seems pretty simple.

Everyone renewing their season ticket? I haven't been able to relocate the past few years and don't go to enough games to am leaning toward cancelling. However might reconsidered if I can relocate to more central. Currently in 224 Row 12.

I cancelled at the end of last season. It was getting too difficult to sell games I couldn't attend. I couldn't even give them away for free at times. I wonder if corporate renewals take a hit this year with oil conditions.

If I was in the board of directors at any oil and gas producer or service company I'd make sure we cancelled all our tickets.

Although, funny enough, I was at the Knight's game Sunday in corporate seats. I'm not a customer of the company that pays for the seats though....

Flames are getting roasted on social media for not paying employees affected by the cancellation of events. Especially since the Oilers are doing it for Rogers Place employees. In fact the Flames are in the minority of arena managers not doing it.

Not a good look for a team that lobbied so hard for social welfare to get their new arena funded.

Optically it looks bad. The problem is that there is no revenue coming in, while they have to pay the players for not working. Every team is bleeding cash. This is happening in every industry. Restaurants are cutting staff, WestJet is about to lay off 1/2 it’s workforce because revenue is drying up and nobody bats an eye.

Oilers got lucky because nothing was done after the shutdown and after seeing the flames backlash, they’re now bridging the gap between EI.

I’m not saying what the flames are doing is right, just what they’re doing is widespread across industries relying on people going out right now.

As far as I know, isn't that just the part time employees? Are the full time employees getting covered?

Yes, it looks bad, but isn't that no different than full time employee vs part time employee benefits? I haven't had a part time job since high school, but I don't remember having health, pension, vacation, paid day off on stat holidays, etc until I had a full time job. I mean, yeah it would be great if the organization stepped up and helped everyone out, but they're not obligated to.

But we didn't give WestJet and restaurants $275 million of public money...

It was played on the NHL network a couple of weeks ago. It’s a bitch to keep track of what’s going on without a live scoreboard, sog, etc. You actually have to remember the score, guess time remaining and watch when penalty is over. Really wish they would overlay modern data on top of the archival footage.

That's awesome. 1989 was a defining year in my life. I'll wear my Lanny Mcdonald jersey for those games for sure v

It will be like living in the 80s again, I was too young to remember the series so this will still be a great watch

Even without all the stats on the screen this is still great to watch, despite how crappy goalies were in the 80s
