He used the n-word in a work setting, while representing the management and ownership of a company. There may be places where a white guy can use that word, but that wasn't it.
you dont drop n-bombs at work?

question: if Peters had come into the room and said:

turn off that n-word music. (using n-word and not n*****)...i wonder what would happen?

How is this mob mentality? The Flames are a private organization that is allowed to do what they want. And employing Peters is up to the Flames.

I don't think he was fired for being a racist. We don't know if he is or not. He was fired for using a word that is clearly a racist term.
^Honorable mention for second place in the BEST ANSWER category.

It really boggles my mind that some beyond members here actually think that a black guy getting mad about the use of the N word is a snowflake.

I'm white and that shit would bother me even if a black guy wasn't present.

    https://globalnews.ca/news/6259404/c...rena-deal/amp/

"CSEC, who owns the Calgary Flames, will be responsible for $275 million of the arena’s projected $550-million cost. The city will put the same amount toward building the new event centre.

Calgary will also be responsible for the demolition costs of the Scotiabank Saddledome, estimated at $12.4 million, and land and transactional costs at $3 million."

Wow! What a great emotional game from them tonight.... new lines, Johnny finally scoring, Reider finally scoring and shorthanded too, Lucic finally getting one, Monahan scoring and playing amazing on the wing... so many storylines. This is a turning a point I can feel it!

The Flames were running that stupid promo where if they score in the next 60 seconds someone wins a car.... Flames scored a couple seasons back and won someone a car but this time around it happened to fall while they were killing a penalty, so not gonna happen right? Any who, Reider SH breakaway goal won a military vets wife a new chevy, was awesome haha. Loudest goal I've seen at the dome in a while.

Peters leaving might just be the best thing that could happen to the team. Johnny is flying out there finally. Even the third/fourth lines are scoring.

It seemed fine to me....I dont know how the announcers don't know the rules. It is a delayed offside when the puck crosses, they can still both tag up before the puck is touched.
