Aliu was a skid, the reason he got sent to the ECHL and failed there is not because he was bumping Biggie Smalls, its because he wasn't NHL material.

This isn't a crime. There is no statute of limitations for being a dick and your employer finding out and firing you. If they find language to void his contract they will, if not he will still be getting paid. Whats the issue?

Your employer should be able to do as they please with respect to your employment.

I agree with you that there are inconsistencies with how the public reacts with stuff like this and some of it is ridiculous.

Personally I look at each situation separately and try not to compare this to other cases (Cherry, JT Blackface). Context matters and this situation it does seem like it was very derogatory.

Have you ever played high level competitive team sports? Doing something wrong or directly against the coach's instructions would often get you yelled at or a little smack up side the head. Sometimes other players would do it. Everyone knows on the team when you fuck up. Did Peter's take a 3 step soccer kick to the back of the players? Doubtful. Was it a little kick in the back to say wake up, don't fuck up? Maybe. Admittedly there is a lot of assumptions of the severity of kicks in question.

Edit: I am brown and I have no problem with the brown-face because I understand context and I don't think it was done in a disrespectful way. In the Peters case the player obviously took it in a way that was offensive.

No matter what everyone going to interrupt every situation different so I still don't understand why JT is even brought up because it is a totally different situation.

I understand what you are saying, I grew up playing sports and it is a whole different world but the GOOD coaches understand what athletes can handle the tougher love and what players need other types of motivation. The player coming out with the allegations from Carolina show that Peters did not understand that.
