Default Best Way To Sell ~$1000-$1200 watch?

    Hey All,

I have a Longines Hydro Conquest that I don't really wear, and would rather convert that cash (some of) the cost of a mountain bike.

Whats the best way to sell a watch like this? Retail is around $1500 or so, used probably $1200?

I'd even sell for a bit less than the used market just to not sit on it forever.

    Any feedback is appreciated!

I'd post it for sale here. Seems to be lots of watch whores here.
I'm surprised used prices would be so close to new, but I'm not a watch whore.

Not to be an ass but I think you will have to adjust your expectations on the amount of value you recover out of that watch. I would say about 50% retail if you are lucky.

Bezel house has a consignment section. If it's quartz or the previous generation you should probably temper your expectations

    Oh I don't think you're being an A.

I figured if I got 75% I'd be ecstatic, 50% doesn't sounds so far off

Chrono24 or other watch trading forums can give you an idea of the used value

Keep in mind it's not too difficult to get 25% to 30% off a brand new Longines right from a dealer. Depending on condition, if it's under warranty, whether or not it needs a service (not sure if it's auto or quartz) it will sell for a 50% to 60% of MSRP on the used market.

It's an auto, needs to be wound up from time to time if I don't wear it
