Why did it take 4 years to discover that the Russian collusion angle was a hoax, and like 4 days for this one.
Journalism is dead.

So how does it work. 2/3 to convict a sitting president but bro is already gone so is it just 50/50 but Kamala tie breaker? Lol
2/3 to convict then they can do an additional vote to bar him from running again, that vote would be 50%This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Considering they voted yesterday to dismiss and got 45-55 seems like long odds to actually convict.
More dem grandstanding when they could actually be doing their jobs as per usual, they just can’t get let the hate for trump go lol.

If the CPC had a way to ban Trudeau from ever running again, wouldn't you want them to spend some time at least attempting it?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I used to think Trudeau was the worst punishment the Liberals could ever inflict on themselves, then we all discovered is the average canadian doesn’t care how much of an idiot he is.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Canada deserves Trudeau.
If it wasn’t him we would find some other Drama teacher to elect party leader, or O Toole since he seems pretty well the same.

Sadly I doubt this will happen. The plan seems to be for GOP senators to verbally condemn his actions for the media optics, and then vote with him at the trial. He pissed a few people off but many are still too scared of him to vote against. Also, he doesn't have to disclose his full list of pardons, and he's legally allowed to pay people off to vote for him, so there were probably some deals done there to ensure he doesn't get voted against. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Most republican senators are taking the easy way out and will vote no based on the idea that it is unconstitutional to convict someone who has already left office. That way in the future if they get called out on their choice, they have an excuse either way and can say whatever is politically convenient for them at the time. I.e. either “yes I would have voted to convict if it was constitutional” or “no I would never have convicted even if it was constitutional”. Smart play honestly, I would probably do the same if I was looking to be re elected in the future.
There is no benefit to the repubs to convict. Even if they now hate Trump, which many seem to.

This whole thing is as important as the tranny bathrooms in a Smitty's. I am so thankful that North America is such a utopia that people can devote their time and effort to causes such as this.
