Over 200,000 dead in the good old US of A but that's hardly anyone affected. Put into perpective, that's the populations of Red Deer and Lethbridge wiped out. Almost a sixth of Calgary's population, more than a quarter of Washington DC's population.
But I do get it as it's all election posturing, got to keep the focus elsewhere.
2.8M per year in the US, I guess the only valuable measure will be to see what if any increase this has caused and we won't know that for a while. I doubt that all 200K Covid deaths are ones that wouldn't have happened otherwise, some for sure but it will take time to figure the real number out.
