Inside line has been great to me. Always fair, really in depth diagnostics and service. I’ve been to the majority of shops in town, and this one is the best, by far.

Inside line is going to be the only shop to do that list in house, the rest hire mostly kids and have to ship out for suspension service (beyond a lower leg oil change/50hr service)

What suspension brand though? If it’s anything exotic you’ll need to use Mike at evolution suspension if you want to keep it local

Edit: also get an MMBTS membership and you’ll get 10% off at inside line

Well I guess it’ll be inside line then. Thanks guys.

It’s just fox suspension, nothing crazy. I’d be surprised if they couldn’t handle it, but also I don’t know jack about this. Haha.

I think they’re setup for fox now. Fox needs special equipment vs rockshox. Look Mike up if they can’t do it. You’ll have to take the shock and fork off the bike though if you use him.

…hopefully it was a good deal, YT has some good sales right now!

Ya their sales are great right now. It was >50% cheaper than the new model at sale price right now, and has the next level up groupset vs what comes stock. So after I spend a few hundred getting it sorted, I should still be way ahead.

Also if anyone has recommendations for a good 29” tire (not tubeless) in the value category, I’m all ears. I don’t ride enough to spend $100/tire but want something decent. It’ll probably see as much uphill as it does downhill, and I’ll only be a fair weather rider.

Conti… also at the inside line (probably cheaper online but as far as local goes they actually have the good compounds and casings in stock).

They are mildly less than maxxis… but they last way longer, so you will get twice the life at least making them a bargain

I have the kryptotal in dh casings, super soft on regular bike, soft on the ebike (for better wear, that thing cooks maxxis like crazy)

Tires and brake pads are tough to justify locally, but if ya need em, what can you do.

Lots of discount euro bike sites. Basically all have blocked sram and shimano sales to NA, but galfer pads are good. I like the purple ones

    Capra's are pretty sweet!
When I upgrade from the Enduro the Capra is top of the list.

My bike has these on the front / back

    Fork RockShox 35 Gold, 160mm Travel, 44mm Offset, 1.8 Tapered, E-Rated
Rear Shock RockShox Super Deluxe Select+, RT DebonAir 2, MegNeg Air Can, Custom Tune, 210x55mm

Apparently you are supposed to put air in them?

I've never had a good MTB before

You’ll need a shock pump, then look up a video for “setting the suspension sag on a mountain bike” probably easier that way.

After that it becomes trial and error for compression and rebound. Pick a single knob, turn it two clicks… ride, decide if better or worse, adjust… etc… repeat with the rest of the knobs.

Luckily you don’t have many knobs on that setup, so it will be easier to dial it in than say… a fox factory grip x2 damper

Don’t use air to adjust… your air is good if your sag is good. You need volume tokens to increase the ramp if you’re running through the travel with good sag and decent compression settings.

Check out Michelin Wild Enduro Been running them for a bunch of years and they have been good to me. Price point is on mark.
