Getting the new bikes a once-over at inside line. They'll swap it over to a tubeless (has tubeless ready tires and rims) for $100.. worth it? Worth it at this point of year?
How's the conditions of the your trances? They just notified me that a size small is now available for me.

The small my wife got was pretty good, couple scratches. I took them to the Inside Line to get a once-over and the dropper installed, and they seemed to be in pretty good mechanical shape. Mine had a 'hub' issue, but they fixed it for $20, wives needed a minor bleed of the brake

Like i said, just call them or email to see if you can grab one yet. There is no way they're renting them after this weeks weather.

I am thinking TB, Epic and Fuel
The Epic is not the same category of bike as the Fuel and TB. The Epic is a full XC race bike with steep head angle and race suspension, I wouldn't consider unless you want to race XC. The Fuel and the TB are pretty close but the Tallboy I would argue is a little more trail focused especially with the 65* head tube angle. I don't like proprietary shock hardware so I would stay away from the Trek especially with all the problems I've seen with the Reaktiv system

Get one of these to solve that.

Then you're adding $1600 to the price of the bike!!! I do want one though...

Just picked up a 2019 Trance 3 for myself and my father from Gear Up.
    $1500 used.

Overall pretty good condition. Rear tire is a little worn, some scratches as would be expected.
    New brake pads, dropper post.

Just need to adjust the suspension and they’re good to go.

That said, does anyone have an air pump for the suspension? If not, probably wouldn’t hurt to buy one anyway..

Congrats. I had to pass on getting / looking at a size small. My kids' remaining dental bill (i.e. not covered / exceeded dental coverage which renewed in August) comes first :'(

I recommend buying a shock pump. You'll use it a few times a year for sure. I have one of the old planet bike ones - looks like the current generation they make has poor reviews on the MEC site though.

Took the Trance to Bragg last week and CNC yesterday, and Nose Hill almost daily with the dog. Fun little rig for someone getting back into it and pretty pleased with the purchase! Hoping that this weather turns around again and get another few turns at CNC, Odyssey is a great trail.

Heading out tomorrow for a huge trip!

Going to ride Sun Peaks --> Whistler --> Coast Gravity Park --> Mount Seven.

    Can't fuckin wait.
    Trip of a lifetime!

Missed out on Mount Seven because of the weather, but the other 3 parks were incredible.

Sun Peaks was sick! Lots of good trails and great vibes.

Whistler was awesome. I was clearing about 90% of the jumps on A-line toward the end of the trip. Pretty excited about that as it's my first year riding and I'm already sending 20+ft gaps.

Coast Gravity Park was a perfect 10. Between the trails and atmosphere, it was our favorite place to ride this season. I highly recommend everybody makes it to Sechelt and rides Coast Gravity Park at least once in their life, it's an experience you will not forget.

Excited for next year, hard to believe I'm looking more forward to getting back on the bike than the snowboard!

NIce job on the Trance's. They're great rides and excellent bang for your buck. My Trance 3 got stolen and I replaced it with a 2018 Trance 2 in the fall of 2017. The guys at Ridleys were great at helping me get back on the trails quick...especially since I walked n with my insurance money ready to spend!. Loving it. Only additions I made are the Chromag seat and Saint pedals. Trying to get the kids more into riding...had a pretty slow year, just rode locally in Okotoks.

Typically I'll pull the tire and pull out the dried remanants of what ever sealant i used. If you used stans you'll get the boogers and orange seal will end up in a dried latex patch, probably doesn't make a big difference but I enjoy the process.

That sounds fun. Like peeling off the adhesive from a new credit card.

Yeah or like peeling skin from a sun burn.
    Wait - what?

I usually just top up the fluid because I'm lazy.
