Can someone enlighten me why you wouldn't want to have the detached garage OH doors open directly into the alley on the opposite side?

Easier to have storage for winter if you want to put a bunch of patio stuff away. Easier to bring the mower out and such when you can open a big door. If you have a collector car you can flex by having the garage open when having a bbq. Also better privacy if you want to wrench on your car with the big door open but have a ton of tools you don't want people passing by seeing seeing. Easy access to unload your meth lab. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I didn't even look at the house. Who cares. Love the garage(s) and love the way it opens to an interior driveway.

Damn, I really like that setup. Want! Though I agree having the OH doors alley-facing with another OH door facing the yard would have been a better layout. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
that is awesome. i want that. i'd love the extra security of the garage doors being behind a locked gate personaly, but thats because my car doesn't go anywhere![]()
Imagine having to live in Bienfait. Sweet house or not.

If I’m outside detailing a car, the last thing I want is a woman involved

Personally, this is the only one that resonates with me. The other reasons I get, just aren't relevant in my world. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Hey man, it's okay to play both fields now - it's 2023. No need to hide behind misogyny.

Consider the heated attached garage can hold 4 cars, they can potential moved them all to the pad if you need to clean it out or work in it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Just ordered a couple of these and planning to install over top of my garage door to store our seasonal stuff. I have about 20” of clearance when the door is opened and these say they can go as low as 18”.
Anyone used these (or similar) before? PITA to install?

I installed 6 of them in my garage. They're well built. The hardest part was climbing up in the attic to drill pilot holes down through the beams since I didn't trust my stud finder from below. I can't recall if they come with lag bolts, but the instructions recommend which fasteners to use.
I installed a different version of these and they were a big PITA to install. That being said it was well worth it when I finally got them up. I had to buy lag bolts and washers separate for mine. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

This seems crazy. Something the size of drywall screws should hold that shit up as long as you're hitting wood with all of them.
Post a review or update when you're done. I've been on the fence / mulling over these for a bit now. Need some extra storage capacity. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
