    Yes. Lot of my work is done over the phone. And general browsing as well - a slow phone would drive me absolutely bonkers.

    I was using EVDO CDMA till last year in Calgary they said iwas the very last one using it. (TELUS) anyway 1-2MB/s was great and useful had lots of latency

    with Lte i only need up to 5 even though it goes to 150 + latency is much lower but traffic seams to be routed to Toronto and back. on EVDO i would get a public IP address. EVDO stayed within Calgary if i were to do a RDP session to a Calgary computer.

    But i dont know why need 1G/second 5g blasted everywhere to a mobile phone. .

    Again, it has to do with user concentration. When it’s not saturated, 1gb on mobile is useless. When it’s saturated with too many users it’s nice to have a couple mbps instead of being unusably slow.
