    Default Dress Shoes and Orthotics

Apparently 30 hit me hard a few years ago and now look at me go, needing orthotics! All of my dress shoes from Boss, Florshein and Ted Baker have sown in insoles and with my orthotics on top of them, are way too small.

Any shoe makers out there that have removable insoles that aren't old man chunky style shoes? Or how do you guys with orthotics deal with the sown in type?

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

Go for wide sizes so E or even EE. Allen Edmonds, Alden, etc. makes great footwear that can support wide sizing.

Crockett and Jones are weird with E is their normal width or US 'D'. So you want F.

I immediately stick superfeet in all my dress shoes which I found very helpful.

Allan Edmonds, Ferragamo, Tods, Ecco, etc. will mostly have removable insoles in them to accomodate orthotics.

Any good Podiatrist should be able to accommodate (make) an orthotic to fit into your dress shoes. We do this every day.

Was up at Alpine Foot Clinic here in Calgary. Had three footbed options and was suggested the middle thickness one as an all-around/general. Brought in every pair of shoes I own haha
