    Default Property management company refusing to provide receipts?

    Lots of landlords here so I thought I'd ask here.
    I rented out my condo to a property management company last year. There are some statements about having the locks replaced, blinds washed etc
    I have requested the invoices for these but they have refused to provide them. Should I be pursuing these charges back? I only say this because some of the charges seemed bogus, refusal to provide receipts of the work further increase my suspicions of this. Anyone here have this problem before? Couldn't find anything on the Alberta Residential Tenancies Act

    1) Which company?
    2) On what basis are they refusing to provide receipts (IE- why?)

    1) Mountain Park Real Estate
    2) Have no idea why, they either don't bother replying to my emails or come up with a statement referring to the agreement that they made payments and those should be deducted from my monthly income

    I've never used a management company before. What's your contract say for them managing your property? I'd assume you have specifics noted in that in relation to work or contractors that may need to be hired.

    So many bad PM companies out there - huge personnel turnover rates.

    No invoice, no pay - isnt that the norm?

    My experience with Mountain Park, both as a client and consultant, is overall very poor. I won't go into details publicly but needless to say I could not honestly recommend them.

    Have you gone and visited them in person? Sometimes being in their face can have quite a difference.

    They are a former client of mine and the owner still maintains a relationship with my boss. Unfortunately I don't think I'm unbiased enough to offer valuable input here
