I still see the V3 cams out of stock - did anyone find some?
Doesn't really help, but my order from Amazon.com shipped yesterday. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
That does help - I'll probably do the same as I am not finding any in Canada. I emailed Wyze and they didn't really know when Canadian stock would be filled. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I've been getting them.
Just luck I guess. Have buddies all setup. Costs more to get them here but worth it vs other cams long term cost.
Costs me $65/cam Canadian to get them here.
I can do another order if enough people are interested.

I just ordered a few from Amazon.com, only $17 for express shipping. Seems like a good option for now.
I'm poor so I just paid the $8 for "regular" shipping. Amazon stuff from the states usually comes pretty fast anyways. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It said April 2 was the expected delivery so we will see if it arrives earlier or not I guess. It was about a week faster than "regular" but as you say sometimes there isn't much actual difference between the two. I'm just impatient haha. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Ah yeah, mine say April 8 for delivery. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
This will be a good test then because I think we ordered at the same time - my options were April 8 or April 2. We will see if the express shipping was worth it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Quick question, I am thinking of getting the V3 as well.
I see they are currently in stock for 29.98 but what else do I need to get? I am guessing I need a started kit too.
If anyone can point me in the right direction to get everything I would need thatd be great. Thinking of ordering 2-3 cameras for outdoor purposes.
Thanks in advance.
I ordered a week ago but it didn't ship till yesterday, but agreed we're in the same batch so it's a good test. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
You can get a cover for the camera if leaving it outside. Basically don't need anything else. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I've left my V2 outside in the elements without any covering at all and it's survived just fine. Gets rained/snowed on and survived the -40 spell we had last month.
Get Micro SD cards for each of them. Even a small Gb one works well.
Allows you to go back and view the whole day(s) if you need.
No need for a starter kit.
Consider the cam plus account so you can filter notifications on people or vehicles, etc and longer video slices in the notification.
I also had the v2 outside for 2 years or more without issues. No coverage except under the eaves. These cameras can survive well.
v3 is way better and have upgraded to those.
You don't need anything else aside from the cameras - the app is free as is basic levels of cloud storage and detection. Power cables and power brick are included but any old phone charger with a USB cable will also power them. Magnetic wall-mounting hardware is also included. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
V3's are weatherproof so you don't need outdoor enclosures, but as long as you keep them dry, the V2's work fine outside without an enclosure even in our winters.
If you want 24/7 recording you need a micro SD card ($10). 32GB gives you about 3 days worth of rolling footage. Otherwise it will record a maximum of one 12 second clip every 5 minutes if it detects motion. You have the option to pay for 14 days of cloud storage but IMO that is unnecessary for most home applications.
AI person detection is technically a paid feature, but last I saw you could pay whatever you wanted including zero. IMO the AI isn't good enough yet to be relied on or worth paying extra for. My V2's confuse people with bushes blowing in the wind, maybe the V3's are better.
Can't really complain about anything for the price though - they compete with $250 cameras feature-wise.

Thank you all for the comments, I thought they were wireless, maybe got confused because of the thread tittle.
That being said, I am gonna go home and check out where id plug them and order them today before they go out of stock.
Wyze's dedicated outdoor camera is wireless but their "regular" cameras are better and the way to go for most applications as long as you have a plug nearby. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Has anyone tried the Wyze doorbell camera? I hate my current Ring pro and was thinking of picking up some V3's and maybe a doorbell camera as well.
What is the issue with the Ring? Is it their latest one??
I am considering getting the Ring doorbell and would like to get some feedbacks.
I've had it for 3 years now. At first it worked as advertised but then went dead. They shipped a replacement out and ever since they can't seem to figure out how to bill me for the subscription, making it useless. I've tried paying for it monthly, by year and for whatever reason it refunds back to my card and subscription ends after 24 hours. I keep contacting ring but they haven't got me anywhere and usually give me a free week/month to get me off the phone. On top of that I have found the app to be worse than when I first purchased. Not a great layout and takes a while to connect to video, long enough that anyone who was there waiting is gone. I know others who have had great luck with their ring products but I'm just ready to move on.
Mine shipped today via FedEx. No ETA according the tracking info yet, other than Amazon's estimate of April 2.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
