Well at least they showed up within the expected time frame, so that's good. I actually ordered one more V3 as well and paid for express shipping, coincidentally I ordered on a Thursday again and it arrived this Monday as they don't deliver weekends so as far as I can tell I am 2 for 2 for one-day shipping using the express option. Tracking info shows them in Calgary the next day both times. FedEx again as well.

If I have no outlets on my exterior walls of the garage, (I have outlets on the foot level but someone can just come and unplug) are yall just drilling through the walls and mounting on soffit? And then seal up hole/wire with some weather caulking? I dont wanna drill but the Eufy wireless options are like $399/499

Yes, drilled a hole and ran a 10ft USB power cable down to an outlet on my workbench. The v2 cameras you could gang up to 3 cameras with 1 power supply. The v3 cameras you need a USB splitter to do this or power a v3 off a v2 with a 6” cable like I currently have on the corner of my shop.

From a security perspective, even plugging them in at ground level isn't a big deal because if someone wanted to disable the camera, it's all the same whether they unplug it or just knock it off the mount. In either scenario, you would have the same amount of video footage up until the point of the camera being disabled. From an aesthetics standpoint, I can understand not wanting a long wire though.

Being wired is definitely the most annoying thing about using these cameras outdoors, but all the wireless solutions have compromises that make them useless for security.

I can almost guarantee those battery powered cameras burn out in Calgary winter. Maybe a reduced life at best. Done in 2 years for certain.
Unless you have a poorly insulated house with heat pouring out the walls.

I think people watch too many movies, thinking Danny Ocean and his crew are hitting your house for the big score.
Most people I see rummaging the area know the camera is there and don't care. Just like the thieves at any store.

I for one thinks external cams gives people a whore house/drug den vibe.

Dammit, must have just missed the .ca v3 by a few hours.

Good to see they plan on selling it for $37. Canadian dollar is pretty strong right now.
0.5 gram microsd delivered by 12,000 pound combustion vehicle and driver.

I think I'm just going to do a direct order of v3's to Reship, waiting sucks and screw the Amazon scalpers.
EDIT: still waiting, backordered from Wyze lol. Limit 3.

Amazon.ca back in stock now but they jacked the price up to $52.71/each.

I'll wait till Home Depot gets more stock since they are selling for $43. Not gonna pay the price gouge from Amazon since Canadian Wyze launch is coming. Just seen this post on Reddit

    This.
I bought few V3s a month ago. Received them a lot quicker than what Amazon stated.

For the guys that have the v3 already, can you lock in the camera's swivel part and the legs that come out? If this is hung outdoors, does it feel like it will hold and not get blown around?

They are quite stiff, no shaking on my v3s in the last wind storms we’ve had. They are hanging with 1 screw through the leg and steel disc and into the siding. The leg is magnetic but I figured a screw would be a better bet.

I had what Darell had but switched to masts off aliexpress.
Wanted to level the angle on the image so it's not as crooked. .

Anyone tried those blink cameras that are wire free and are powered by 2 x AA lithium batteries?

You can make any angle if you twist the base on the screw.
