I must have gotten lucky/rented that larger one. It made quick work of a ~20" stump.
That, or I'm not a li'l bitch. We'll never know.

Need @89coupe to tell us how a non-creampuff would do it.

Lawn peeve:
Bottle of Killex is about $10. Bottle of Killex Concentrate is $25 and makes a quick 200 bottles. No shit people are overusing it!! You don't think there's a sweet spot between 24oz and 38 gallons?!?

Thanks for reminding me, there's a thistle by the fence that I need to go spray. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Just like to rebut my own post here, I used Scotts 9-1-1 (mix of seed, fert, soil enhancer or something) because I had some less than ideal patches but don't need/am too lazy for a real overseed. I'm around week 1 since spreading this and I'm already seeing some germination. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I used EZ seed like 3 weeks ago and nothing

I think you can call them and get a refund. I might do it after another try just out of principle that I got duped. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I might try just regular overseeding and see what happens.

Did you water every day and twice a day when it was 30c? And that cold snap we had obviously slows everything down. And you need to lay it on relatively thick.
Also I'm throwing in the quack-grass towel. Its literally everywhere. Not sure if it seeded off the neighbors 'natural' weedscaping or what but there are hundreds of them in my back yard and they're around the edge of my front yard as well. I don't have the time to paint them one by one as I'm still nursing the dog piss glacier damage back to health.
I just watered it every 1-2 days as per instruction to keep it looking moist (dark brown) and not dry (light brown). I'll try watering a bit more often especially if we get those heat waves. It's just not germinating, and at most I get minor pubes/stubbles.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
My lawn is like an Asian guy trying to grow a beard. Impossible.
Also I got a dwarf spruce tree that got attacked last year with spider mites so that portion isn't growing back. But the parts that do grow back is beautiful. I am tempted to get this grass/scrub green paint that is supposedly ok to spray onto the dead spots so it looks green and not dead/brown Doesn't look like you can buy it locally though...
My EZ seed also didn’t work this past month, though it’s worked in the past. Maybe it’s a whole lot that is defective? Bought mine from Costco.
I've had poor success with EZ seed. For one patch project it worked. For another, total garbage. I was pissed, $21 wasted.
I threw down seed 1 week ago on an area of my yard that required a total regrading. Germination is happening very nicely. Lots of nice grass starting to peek out. No fertilizer or anything. Water once a day.

I honestly did not expect shit to happen so quick.
Pretty challenging last few weeks to make anything grow with the heat and wind. Even watering twice a day most of the seed is drying out too fast to actually take. We need a solid week of drizzly weather to really make that stuff work well i find.
Sounds like you guys need to put your seed into EZ-Seed's dad.
And by that, I mean you suck at photography.
