Decided to turf everything today.
Grass is fucking stupid, the park half a block away has it and I’ll enjoy it there if I ever feel the urge
I for one am stoked they're dumping Ghost for flood mitigation, while also talking about drought and water restrictions..
City council readies the build a berm across memorial button.

Front lawn has been growing quickly so far. Needs a cut this weekend and going to start some fertilizer and sprinklers I think.
I cut our front lawn yesterday… still waiting for the landscaper to come aerate and power rake lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Tossed down some fertilizer last week before the snow hit. Things have really greened up since.
I'll be due for a cut this weekend for sure. Thinking that i might cut it short Friday and run a power rake over it same day.
Would like to lay down some seed and dirt in areas while we still have spring conditions.
I’ve already had to cut the front lawn once and back lawn twice this year.
Cut the grass, assembled the Worx Dethatcher I bought, used it. Dunno if I'm using it wrong but the clipping do not go into the rear bag, it just gets kicked up and left on the lawn. Used the mower to grab all the clippings. Laid some some Scotts EZ Seed on the areas it fuked up and etc. Threw some lawn food down as well as it was gonna rain that night and the next 2 days.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.
Gonna be fertilizing and overseeding this weekend. It’s still pretty short to mow but the backyard is growing decent with some dead spots to attend to
Front lawn is a work in progress
well decided to try a combo fertilizer and corn gluten meal treatment today. Will see if it makes anything resembling a dent in the dandelion production.
did the first real mow today and hit it with water a couple of times.
So it begins, will probably just give up in July haha

FYI book your time 8AM tomorrow if you want free City of Calgary garden soil
Meanwhile, I saw at CTire they had Scott lawn soil on sale (56L?) for 10$ + Triangle Max Stack event
https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/s...=lawn+soil#srp
would the CoC soil not be like 99% weeds. Cause all my dandelions go into the compost.
Tap, Rack, BANG!
Oh snap maybe. I guess just use it for your garden then?
I always discard my tampons (from the men's room at work) in there as well.
Drought-resistant soil?
man all the grass i grew last year on my piece of shit front lawn that turned super lush and nice is just staying dead and yellow lol... Been watering it everyday, added some fertilizer yesterday to try and help. I feel like it didn't get rooted in there good enough to survive maybe... Is that a thing?
#metoo but in the backyard. So discouraging.
What kind of seeds did you throw down? If it was generic Scotts stuff, it was probably mostly Annual Rye, which only lasts one season. Also, you probably don't need to be watering yet. It depends on your lawn, but both my front and rear are still pretty moist, and not from the art room.

This kinda rings true for my yard. I used bluegrass seed, but just Rona generic to fill in some spots that didn't take. Must be those ares that are now dead. I grabbed a bunch more bluegrass seed yesterday and plan to put it down Thursday and top dress with some free city compost
