I tossed it in the garbage a couple weeks ago didn't think they would fuck shit up. A Chemco guy was here last week taking pics of all the other peoples fucked up lawns and I asked him to fix and he said they would but they didnt. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.
So, 1 last application of fertilizer, or is it too late in the season?
Our guys came on Tuesday... Not sure if it was the last application for the year or not.
The weather looks solid for the next couple of weeks, no frost, etc... I'd give it a go.
I put a small dose on September 8 and will do a full Fall dose likely in mid-late October.
My 2¢
New house-they just put in my landscaping. Any tips other than watering the shit out of it?
Any value to a power rake in the fall? I do it yearly in the spring - but have read a fall power rake is a good idea as long as there's enough time for the (good) grass to recover from the small damage the raking does.
you don't need to do it twice a year.

Even doing it once a year is excessive. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
On green grass in the fall it's just plain bad.
A fall aeration is a whole different matter
Not really. Not only will it dethatch but it will rake up fresh grass as well. I wouldn't recommend it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I do recommend fall aeration though.
BTW, does anyone recommend a company that does this for a good price? I prefer smaller companie as they seem to do a better job.

It can be impossible to fertilize here in October, so late Sept is a great time to fertilize.
Did a “fall fertilizer” on my lawn and watered the shit out of it. Three days later and it’s already Greened up a bit. I mowed it before the application, I think there’s maybe one mow left to do this year before winter.
I usually try to mow low for the final one to keep snow mold at bay, is that correct? My neighbour leaves his super long and in the spring his lawn is just destroyed by mice and shit that have made tracks under the snow.
...
How low is low? Did 3 inches before last winter and had some vole damage. Thinking about trying 2 inches or something this time..?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I cut short last year and voles destroyed it.
I might scalp it this year.
Don't the voles mess up the yard regardless of long or short? Our neighbors also have issues with rodents. I do want to prevent them from getting into the garage and other openings. Was thinking of getting some copper wiring/mesh from Amazon.
Traps, poison and maybe those ultra sonic things might mitigate voles. Not sure. They're a tough beast.
I saw massive signs of them in the winter and I just stepped/stomped around their tracks and felt a huge relief that they didn't fist fuck my lawn.
Overall, I think I was just lucky.
I find that rodents are generally afraid of the constant low, steady, rumble of a F150 High Output EcoBoost. Why waste your energy chasing them around when you can just idle a Raptor on your lawn?
