Green It Up really did Green'd up my lawn.
Center portion is kinda patchy for some dumb reason, not really sure WTF is going on there.

my lawn is going to shit this year for some reason. I can't keep ahead of the dandelions, and now they are choking out the grass.
I need a good herbiside reccommendation. None of this natural bullshit. I need to go all out chemical warfare on this shit. They are seriously so bad this year. I feel like I pull one, and 4 more pop up and are a foot tall inside 3 days.
I am seriously at my wits end here. None of the stuff I seem to be able to get around here is able to make a dent in this crop.

One more to show that you can grow grass under a 2’ diameter spruce tree. I had the power rake blade set too low this spring and had to seed and regrow a big chunk as well.

I’ve been using Killex at some concentration way over the bottle directions, I think like 75ml per 4L sprayer. Have two applications on so far and it’s working great, once more and it should be good for a while
I also got a long puller thing so I don’t have to hunch down or crawl around pulling them out

Water. Lots and lots of water. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I have never used anything to neutralize the soil and I’ve never tested the pH. I mow once a week which sucks up most of the needles and I water the crap out of it.

I have always enjoyed lawn care. I took it to the next level during COVID because needed a hobby to stay sane. The solitude is a bonus.
I used soil and got a bunch of bumpy areas looking alot better. I will probably use soil again next year and then if things really are looking good I will try sand the year after (2024).This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
With 4 yards of dirt I got a reasonable amount of my yard levelled but need another 4 at least to do the backyard. Exhausting work.
As I said. Levelling tool is good, helps make quick work of the material, but the real magic happened with the push broom.
Went to bluegrass today and got some seeds for overseeding, this is the mix they recommended, which is most similar to typical sod I guess?
I'm not sure what the relative %s are, but that's the same grass variety blend as Scotts Supreme.
Because life isn’t busy enough(/s) I’ve decided to take the hard route. I’ll give it to weeks to start looking like something then I’m tearing it up to do sod lol
Plan is to spray the weeds, lay some seed, lay some dirt, lay more seed, rake, then tamp with my nike slides. Put some peat moss down and hopefully dig up a sprinkler timer and get another sprinkler to get the whole strip haha.
More criticism on my plan greatly encourage. (Plan based of previous posts from memory haha)

If I recall correctly, peat moss floats, if that patch you’re repairing is sloped, it will likely wash away with heavy watering. Good dirt should be good enough. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
A trick I do is use a pitch fork to make some holes (like aerating) and pour down a ton of seed so it goes in the holes and then it won’t wash away. This is what I do under my spruce tree.

Should I give it a good hard rake to get rid of the old shit first?
A good rake will give the seed somewhere to go but don’t worry about the old shit.

Recommendations on how often to water after overseeding? Was thinking 3x a day for like 5-7min at a time? (irrigation system)
