Spruce it up has a grass fertilizer with a high middle number. Calgary's soil is alkaline, which results in low availability of phosphorus. Phosphorus helps with root development, which means less watering required and better drought tolerance.

I find it is the best fertilizer.

Seems there is some debate about what to use for fertilizer?

Do I just buy the most expensive shit?

Its called "Green It Up" and its what I’ve been using the last couple years. It’s a little more pricey, makes the lawn green so must be working.

How often do you typically fertilizer your lawns?

okay, I've gone full @nismodrifter and gotten fascinated by lawn shit. I even ordered one of those levelling rakes. I mowed my lawn for the first time in like 4 years there other day and thoroughly enjoyed the 90 minutes of fucking solitude.
How many thousands of dollars did that 90 minutes cost?

Scotts Green Max every week per @89coupe . I can't find the post, if someone else wants to link it here.

Every time you mow right @89coupe

3-4 times for me. Spring, fall and at least one more time through the summer. Visually, I can tell when I need to hit it again throughout the season.
    I like neat cars.

If you can make the time to put a little bit of fertilizer on at a higher frequency, that does actually work better than large applications weeks apart.

Yea I used to load it up 3x a years (spring/summer/fall). But I've started just doing it once a month right before heavy rain is being called for.

When I feel like the green seems to be lightening.

I’m very unscientific. I also mow when I have time.

Do you remember how much it costs? Don't see any retail pricing on their website
