High nitrogen will be a good spring/summer fert. Iron will give your grass a darker deeper green vs a bright green.

Two bags?? That seems like a lot. Or they’re tiny bags. Did you use a spreader on the right setting to at least manage coverage?

You're going to want to get some major water down on that ASAP.

Trying to improve some patches like many others this week.
Spent Sunday with a power tiller to breakup the dead and dry areas both front/back. Laid down some EZ-Seed and covered with top soil. Rest of the lawn got some Scotts 911 treatment. Watering by hand like a peasant 3 times a day since.
Have 6 large areas I'm trying to revive. Hopefully I can get this yard to a respectable level this year.

Will try and figure out posting pics....

Premium fertilizer >> cheap fertilizer but the reality is that any fert >>>> no fert so I wouldn't lose sleep.

Yea I usually go a little heavier on the fertilizer but you 100% can burn your lawn with too much.

I usually have a giant bag last an entire summer.... and we have a fairly large amount of grass compared to most new single family lots.
