Some quick googling shows you can get it up here at an astronomical price (>$200 for 1.25oz??). Also found some forums where people said it did some damage to surrounding grass when applied.

Anybody know how long ez seed takes to germinate in our climate? I put some down about 10 days ago and have been watering 1-2 times per day to keep it moister than the pm's speeches. Still havent seen any shoots...
Tap, Rack, BANG!
I have legit had a bad batch of ez seed before.
Give it a another week or 2 but otherwise I’m Pretty sure there is a satisfaction guarantee.

I did the same a couple of weeks ago. I put it in 1/2 dozen areas and only one spot has grass growing, and barely any. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Phew, I thought I was the only idiot that couldn't get ez-seed going. Had one spot for a month and I barely have shoots growing. Have another spot from a different bag that hasn't grown either.
Is there a place that can offer a service where they go out to property, take soil samples and get them tested for PH levels? Or is it worth it to buy a soil core sampler and test it yourself? I'm fertilizing and watering the front lawn just as much as my rear and the rear lawn seems to be doing a lot better than the front for whatever reason. The only variable now is soil quality.

I'm at 3 weeks and I have tons of germination. Light sprinkle mid-day and good soaking every night. Didn't have anything start sprouting for 2.5 weeks or so.
I've planted grass (not ez seed, mind you) a couple times in the last couple years. In my limited experience, it consistently takes a month to start seeing anything.
Fyi, UFA in high river has lawn stuff for cheap:
55lbs grass seed for $155: https://ufa.com/myUFA/Animals/Animal...g-bag/p/684398
55lbs lawn fertilizer for $30: https://ufa.com/myUFA/Yard%2C-Garden...25-kg/p/885885
I got 300lbs or so of fert.
Doing some weed spraying
Yep from the pics you guys sent, its definitely quackgrass. Ill give removal a try with a bit of Roundup grass control, which as per the label apparently works on most grasses and quackgrass, on the roots. Hopefully it doesn't kill too much grass around it and I should be good to re-seed those areas
That's quite the lawn to look after. What product are you spraying? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Using any amount of roundup on your grass will kill everything around it and downhill from it

I used some commercial UFA chemical (requires rural address) that I borrowed from my cousin (plus the big sprayer). I ended up mixing it too weak (I realized later), so it did a half ass job on the weeds. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I have a big jug of Par 3 myself, so I'll be using it, with the right concentration, in a week or so to try again. https://ufa.com/myUFA/Crop/Crop-Prot...-Jug/p/1122102
If I were in a pinch, I think Killex concentrate would work fine too, but maybe not kill the thistles.
Make sure you aren't spraying with the wand. You might be better off buying the concentrated one, diluting it yourself and doing the paintbrush method or manually "jerking them off" with PPE gloves dipping and applying by fingers only. I would only spray if you have a large infested area of quackgrass that isn't around healthy grass. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The paintbrush method works great. Killed a whole bunch of quackgrass with it. They’re basically a colony so even painting a few leaves will kill the entire plant.
Also buy a fresh batch, I find RU becomes useless after a couple of years.
I like this idea. I have a lot of quackgrass.

Is this quack grass?
Peep the bullshit coming through the fence. Also might have creeping bellflower in their front yard now. I'll snap a pic tonight. If it is I'll be wipeout-ing that shit when they're away.
Definitely quackgrass. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Pull an entire one out and look at the auricle. Quackgrass has a clasping auricle.
I should just go in their backyard and spray their entire 'yard', I'm sure its everywhere.
If they have quack grass seeding and spreading on their side should I just pull an ES, give up and crack a cold one?
Can you put a landscaping barrier in place under the fence to mitigate spread?
