Getting a few mushrooms popping up in the yard. Should I just mow 'em down? Or do they need to be plucked up by hand?
...
If you mow them that’s a near guaranteed way to spread spores.
But then again might not matter much at this time of the year.

Seed that I threw down ~10 days ago finally sprouted. Was a mix of EZ-Seed and just some regular grass seed with dirt on top in some spots cause I ran out of EZ-Seed.
I've had a dozen or so massive shrooms pop up in the front yard... which is normally quite dry. I just pluck them, which is usually just the tops popping off. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Apparently the lawncare people are starting to say expect a big jump in grass seed pricing... So if you're planning to seed - grab it now, it's going to be hard to find soon.

I was able to pluck them all up at the root and chuck them over the fence into my neighbors yard. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

They have 3 varieties (shade, mix, and grow anywhere).

Do you have any suggestions on storing grass seed? I usually just throw the bag inside my garage, not sure if there's a better way or not. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I would not buy any until next season unless you plan to use it now. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Loving the cooler temps. Hit my grass with a dose of GreenMax last week and it is now an amazing deeeeeep green. I have a few patches of dead loss due to the crazy heat we had this summer, going to repair those now. Kind of bummed that this season really was spent trying to keep things from going dormant. Will really try and enjoy the remainder of the time left in the season.
Re backpack sprayers: is battery powered absolutely essential? How hard is it to pump the manual ones as you go? I foresee myself only using it 2-3 times per year. The difference in price I see is only about $100 though if I get a decent manual one. It's more if I go with a cheaper one.

Thoughts/experiences?
I picked up pump sprayer from HD a few weeks back. Aside from the wand being junk (not a surprise), I was quite pleasantly surprised with overall performance.
It sprayed for a long time between pressurizations. And wasn’t very heavy to haul around compared to a backpack sprayer.
Considering my brothers Milwaukee one I borrowed was $$$, I’ll use a pump sprayer all day long.
I bought this

Looks like Dewalt sells a manual sprayer with Viton seals. Jesus the seals must be 90% of the cost of the unit.
After a ton of research, I splurged on a striping kit. Went with a Big League Lawns kit. It arrived last week. I assembled and installed it last night in 30 minutes. Very very impressed with the quality of the pieces. Does not interfere with the bag or anything like that.
Did the first cut with striping kit installed this afternoon and it looks nothing short of amazing. Money well spent. Wish I did this sooner. Has taken the lawn to the next level. Pictures don't do it justice.
It will take practice to get everything perfectly straight. I will do a second pass at a slightly lower height tomorrow to really set the stripes in.
So it just bends the grass down and you raise it every other pass?
Just the rubber trailer on my mower leaves pretty good strips on its own tbh

If you wanna go full lawn nerd you should stripe in the direction of the sunrise and sunset to make your stripes pop the most.
Extra lawn nerd points if you go to suncalc.org to get the most optimal directions.
