I was lucky enough to borrow the whole setup.

I think he mentioned buying it in settler, presumably at UFA?

Those are lawnmower wheel lines, how do you not have those? Do you use a whipper snipper on your lawn?

If you have good grass you get the lines with the lawnmower. If you have shitty grass just buy some spray paint.

You will be very happy with Tenacity, great pre and post emergent, worth the money and should last a while. Curious what is all included in the bundle?
In the bundle you get the standard Tenacity vial, surfactant, and blue dye.

An update regarding reel mower: This is a game changer IMO. Not sure why I didn't switch earlier. My routine is to cut the lawn once weekly with rotary mower, and then do my front yard with the reel, at 1" height. Would be great to do my whole property with the reel but ain't got that kind of time. I then try and keep the yard fresh with a pass of the reel mower every 48 hrs or so at night time. Takes about 30 mins. Each blade of grass is the exact same height, its great, feels and looks like a fine rug and its deep green, no chopped ends. I definitely foresee myself getting a powered reel mower sometime soon. Its just too good.

Re: striping, I've begun work on a mod for my reel already and will have it going soon. I've slowly been training the grass to be cut in a certain direction and have some decent stripes simply by ensuring my passes are in the same direction each time. Once I add the striper kit it should be amazing. Then the neighbors will reallllly be jealous. Again, thats the whole point right.

Don't waste money on that Toro thing, make your own, here are some good links for DIY instructions:

Gotta get that checkerboard action by switching out angles

Unless you have a farm, you probably won't be able to buy it from UFA. It depends how "by the rules" they're being that day.

Do they speak “wad of cash”

You probably have better luck the farther you get from Calgary. Claresholme comes to mind?

What's everyone's sprinkler type of choice?
I just went to put some water on the lawn before the heat hits, and our plastic standard type sprinkler was all busted up.

    It is exactly why.
When I mow with my gas mower, I get lines. When my neighbor mows with the electric, no lines. Totally a weight thing.

Yeah but properly spaced lines are the red knobs of lawns.

I splurged last year in a Gardena Aqua-Zoom and I'm happy with it so far. It might have red knobs, because it was pretty expensive but it goes on sale sometimes.

I like the vortex sprinklers. Unbreakable, no moving parts, work at multiple radius/flow rates. Round pattern. When your kid runs over it with thier bike, or pulls the hose end and smashes it aginst the fence, you'll appreciate the durability. Every home should have one at least as a backup for when the red knob version breaks.
I like the Lee Valley one, but Canadian Tire and other places sell a version.
