Black, then spray it with bedliner. It'll stay black and won't get blown away.

Mulch sucks. Washes and blows away. And decomposes over time.

We did crushed rundle rock everywhere.

I find crushed rock is easier when you need to blow the leaves out of there every spring.

The Flexzilla I bought last year worked well. Very un-kinky.

1/2" diameter is fine for watering flower pots and crap, but 70' is cutting it close for length for me. They had at least 10 units yesterday, maybe more.

I bet your neighbor to the west of you does.

Spruce tree owners are worse than dog people.

Hmmm might be looking into a new hose this year too. Everything I've every owned sucked. Anti-kink ones are mostly really shitty.

I have crushed rundle on mine.

    Pros:
    - doesn't wash/blow away
    - doesn't fade
    - doesn't need to be replaced over time
    - generally looks nicer/cleaner

    Cons
    - gets too hot in the summer for some plant species
    - does not retain moisture for plants

Polyurethane hoses are the best. Before you start using the hose, unfurl it entirely on the ground, put something on the end to keep water in, fill it with water and leave it for three hours. That will help a lot in preventing kinks.

This is my first spring with a lawn. What's everyone's plans to start their season thus far?

Not even close to starting, ground temps have to be minimum 10° and no chance of freezing overnight air temps.

Its supposed to rain snow tomorrow, so dont throw down some seed and take advantage of the free moisture?

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

Too cold out for that but you could start pre-germinating it inside now and then seed it in early May

Even if the seeds managed to germinate, the next frost we get would wipe most of it out.

Pre-germinating only takes a week, and once they've started you need them in the ground ASAP, still way too soon for that as well. I plan on starting pre-germination the last weekend of May, or when my lawn temp hits 10°, whichever comes first.

Whoops, thought it was 30 days for some reason
